We have a fix ready. We're holding off deploying until we get the servers in a better state (reducing the amount of change at once). We're confirming recovery options. We may have to apply updates to players to grant rewards that are currently behind. The initial fix will cover moving forward. Getting clarity on the remedy for those in the current state --we will make sure you get your rewards, just not sure if it will apply with the fix or if we'll need to run some scripts to apply the rewards to the accounts.
Starting deploying of the fix. Americas/Europe/Korea are all deployed. APAC will be out shortly.
This will fix players moving forward. Some players who play another game may get their rewards resolved, but it looks like we have to adjust previous accounts in a more manual way. We are working to resolve those players' issues, but it may take some time today to make sure they're in a good state.
I may just not understand the economics of it all but can someone explain to me why it isn’t possible to just balance the pricing to where they may make less off of whales but widen the circle enough to where more buyers make up for it and even it out?
There’s just no way it is reasonable to constantly monetize games to only appeal to <1% of the games population by making your prices so insanely inflated. What about a $10 price tag or something that ropes in waaay more buyers but reduces dependency on whales?
It’s bizarre to me that the most profitable and satisfying monetization scheme for your playerbase is one that excludes a MASSIVE portion of them.
These numbers that such a small percentage of people spend money on F2P games have to be skewed by their insane financial models that most sane people can’t justify participation in.
I wish the battle pass model was the norm in F2P, as long as the grind is reasonable for working people.
Hey there fam! I know it's common thing for people to assume higher prices means only whales will buy the skins...but that's actually not the case! The research we've done on League shows us that players generally prefer to save up money to buy a really good skin, rather than buy a few cheap, lower-quality skins. This is supported by the fact that players basically stopped buying tiers below League's Epic Tier (1350), thus explaining why 750s and 975s are so rarely available now.
That said, we do want accessible pricing -- so we also have the 875 tier skins (about $8.75 before the VP bundling discount) like Rush, Luxe, and Galleria.
For players who really need the lowest cost options, we have the Battle Pass (which, when completed, grants 11 gun skins), the Character Contracts (which are 100% free, never expire, and grant a free sidearm skin on completion), and a few other things in the works :) Remember, this is just Day 1!

Sorry for the very late response, but thank you for the report. We are aware, investigating, and looking to implement a fix asap. We're validating it before we roll it out, and we will 100% make sure all impacted accounts are resolved. Sorry about this :(
I started out feeling the same way after a couple rounds, but after playing Ascent 4 times in a row it is starting to grow on me. Finding all the cheeky places to use Cypher’s abilities has been great. Thanks for the new map!
There's some incredibly talented Artists, Designers, Engineers, SFX, VFX, QA folks, and Producers that all made it happen. I'm just lucky they let me help :)
Will this also fix people not being able to use their free agent unlocks?

Hello sir. What about the prisma skins we had in beta are they completely gone or do we get them back. These skins were so best simplistic looking god skins in the game bring prisma back :)
Glad you enjoyed the skins my friend! All I can say right now is that some content from beta will come back (mostly adjusted I believe) and some won't.
Hey, where do I report bugs? When swapping weapons and using abilities with Raze, it will occasionally bug out and go to my main weapon for 0 reason. It will also graphically glitch aswell while it happens.
Kinda weird then you're trying to put out a bomb bot, and your main weapon shows up as you press C.
There's a bug megathread here that we comb through. I know the formatting ask is a pain, but it helps us reproduce and track issues much faster, and that's actually super helpful when there are as many players and reports as we get.
We've done our best to make sure that the game is in as high a quality state as we can, but realistically, exhaustive testing is impossible, and even if it were possible, we still only have so many hours to fix bugs and build new features etc.
What you're describing sounds like it could be an issue with packet loss or latency where the server and client disagree about what weapon/ability you have out, but without a video, I can't really know for sure. That said, posting in the linked thread with as much context as possible could help us track it down!

Hi everyone, thanks for responding. The chatter you all made on here bought it to our attention while really quickly. And the responses gave the team somewhere to start looking for bugs. I just spoke with the one of the devs working on the issue. They believe they've found the issue and are testing out the patch as I type this.

Server queue is constantly resetting in last few seconds of countdown. You guys need to sort that out. Queueing is fine but resetting the timer at 10 seconds is pure trolling.
It's a rough estimate based on total players in queue and rate of players getting in. If we get into a scenario with the queue not draining properly--such as what we were just seeing, this may happen. In normal circumstances it shouldn't constantly refresh.
same here, and also when I got the unlock a free agent I unlocked the new character and I can't pick her now so I suggest you save those tokens if you didn't get it yet
We're currently deploying and testing a fix to get earning content back working correctly for those affected. Once this is confirmed, we'll move onto retroactively granting content to anyone who encountered these problems (problems meaning not earning content as expected).
not gonna lie chief, i got excited when I saw people were sharing the same thoughts as me and got sad to see it was a meme, I can't stand ascent, feels horrible, I don't think I've played enough to vocalise why I hate it or what it is exactly but I absolutely despise the map and hate the gimmick of closing the 1 way doors
I'm sorry that you're not enjoying it, but hopefully our other maps give you something fun and compelling, and maybe this one will grow on you over time!

Any idea when APAC will be back up? I'd like to have at least one game today before sleeping... I've waited all day to play.

Restart is done. There will be a login queue while the rush of players start hopping in.
We're seeing some players get stuck in the login queue. We will reset the queue and increase the rate.
interesting how NA is working fine with some minor problems and eu has big problems. yea, login que jumping from 150 to 700 seconds
EU's in peak and NA's in early morning. Scale of issues will impact differently with a vast difference in player size.
Any kind of rough ETA on that? I'd love to actually be able to play one of the agents I main lol. I do really appreciate all of your communication though, it's great to see from Riot as always.
If things go well, we should be able to apply in the next hour or two, but we're going to be heavily monitoring the shards after the restart and matchmaking adjustments.
