Thank you for clarifying this :) and good job !
No worries, it should be clearer now.
These aren't bots, they're manually played accounts but they do appear to be gold farming. I'll clear them out now.
Appeals sent after a decision has been made will not be reviewed.
Very bizarre. We've had a look over it, and it was never quashed/made inactive since being placed on the account in 2006, but we can see play from around your mute in 2009 which indicates that it wasn't active at the time. This may be a result from when legacy offences were imported across to the current system way over 10 years ago, and it wasn't active until the later mute in 2009 forced the pillars to update and the offence then became active - this was a very rare bug
Edit: Steve beat me
Jamdex finally snapped and is gonna check everyones past offenses. Shits going to be the equivalent of martial law in this bitch. I for one won't be oppressed, i'll stand for my freedoms no matter the punishment. My runescape account name is Pfl Glace, do your best filthy fascists, you can't silence me.
Random, but is that 'Pink Fluffy Lions' from the RSBL?
You weren't banned for using Runelite. You were banned for using mouse recording software to automate your gameplay for many hours across numerous game sessions. You also had a temporary Macroing offence in 2018, hence the permanent ban.
Any idea what "Macroing Major (OSHC)" stands for? The bit I'm confused about is OSHC, no one seems to know what it stands for.
It's an internal code that holds no relevance externally. It doesn't mean any particular cheat or anything.
Yeah I had no idea it was such a low amount of people, I don't feel as bad for only have fc now
e - apparently 1.2k is the amount of capes removed from accounts, I'll go back to feel shitty about my fc
Your firecape is nice :)
Never seen it this low at this time đ¤ˇââď¸ Also have seen screen shots of someone getting banned today with the ban being called bot busting.
We apply lots of these each day
I got my account back today too. I'm pretty sure it was a false positive since I played at least a couple hours every day before the ban and didn't notice anything unusual. They gave a generic response of unusual activity and didn't refund me any days of lost membership, but at least I got my account back. ÂŻ\(ă)/ÂŻ
It's often the case that an account is compromised without the owner knowing it, and is used to gold farm on the opposite game that's being played by the owner such as yourself. This may have been what happened with you, can't tell for sure without knowing what account it was, though.
We can see very clearly when an account is an alt, there's no need to worry if you're not doing anything nefarious
This account might be worth investigating for botting/account sharing for ranks. Because that tweet has got to be the weakest cover story for a hcim death in existence.
Responded here about the demise.
Too bad you weren't watching his stream when he was banned. Might have gotten unbanned 5 years ago.
The account is yet to be reviewed recently via that process, where it should be based on a few factors - namely the offence is very old, so more in-depth investigation is required - something which should be logged and checked by our appeals team in this case. I'm not trying to make things difficult here!
You can appeal that one via this link.
Hey, please get in touch with us via this form and we'll be able to help you out.
/u/JagexTyran - your thoughts here?
I've passed this on to be looked into, you* will find an inbox message on the RuneScape website shortly with further information.
Let me make sure I understand the process.
The system automatically bans.
A random daily sample gets checked.
If your account is not part of this daily sample, you are permanently banned with no appeal process.
Thanks for the insight, I didnât know a lot of that.
Right now, I know that thereâs a ton of skepticism when about the validity of the âmanual reviewâ label, (people just assume itâs bull) which leads to a lot of frustration. Is there anything you can say as to what aspects of an account lead it to be more likely to get manually tagged as a bot, even when itâs not? i. e. frequent trades, total level, xp gain, etc?
Getting tagged manually as a bot by mistake could be a number of things including incorrect labeling by a member of the team etc, unfortunately as much as I'd love to talk about botting and what flags accounts in the first place, that's something we won't do I'm afraid.
