No, you're doing it right. Imagine it's just seeping into the ground and polluting the area. *g*
Originally posted by Chlodulf:Originally posted by SLG-Dennis: "It's not meant to be played that way", would be a wrong assumption. We'd be happy if more people would go on creatively after destroying the meteor, but we probably need more after Meteor content for this to actually work, as until now most players do not just see it as an ongoing game like for example minecraft.
Since PVP will never be a thing in this game. Will we ever see NPCs that could be hostile towards the players? Or NPCs that one can inetract with (trading for example). Having no threat after the meteor is dealt with makes the game stale after a while, like you stated above.
Maybe more natural disasters like a volcano. (though I'm not sure how you could deal with one)
Likely not either. We're thinking more of the creative part of the game, countless people play minecraft creatively, extending their cities without ever hitting a creeper. Some people already play on worlds for several months and create ... Read more
stealing and murder will never be added to Eco, we want it to be a peaceful game. The kickstarter goal of a justice system is not yet implemented, but the intention is to remove the automatic enforcement of any laws (you simply cannot do something, when there is a law that prohibits you) to allow players to still break the law and being able to be tracked down by other players in order to deliver the punishment. How this will be done exactly is not clear yet, but likely both ways of using laws would be possible in the future.
on the right side, near the minimap are three coordinates, the middle one is your height level.
yes - i understand what you mean now. But this is actually intended. The map is just a world file, it does not include the configuration, the configuration is global for the server with which the world is being run. You can change these settings at any time in the /steamapps/Eco/Eco_Data/Server/configs directory. Difficulty can be found in the Difficulty.eco. Meteor Time you can find in Disasters.eco.The reason for that is that singleplayer pretty much is a server and on servers you only host one world at any given time, otherwise you need a second config directory. Implementing the settings into the savegame might be something to think about, but it would be hard to do it in a way so only singleplayer is affected, as admins might want to change stuff on their servers while the game is running in the old school way.If you want to play with one of the earlier settings on a different map, you can ever change the configs before booting the server, changes can be made at any tim... That doesnt explain why all of them can join if I start a new world on higher colaberation..
Possible side effect of something else. The collaboration setting does not affect any connections, it just sets three config variables that you could also alter manually that define the difficulty.
Eco by default does not limit connections, as the game has no slots. The collaboration setting also has no effect on connection numbers, this seems to rather be a network issue.
Framed Glass will be better balanced in Update 9.0, but it won't be moved to Tier 3, that would cause the only transparent T4 block to be gone and given that even the Computer Lab now requires a T4 room, that would be displeasant for meteor parties.
T3 still needs a lot of love that it didn't get in 9.0, but that'll be tackled in a future Update.
It means that your save file corrupted and the game automatically restored the last backup on your last start of the server.
For automatic resolve of road contract roads cannot contain ramps or level differences currently, we hope to fix that in a future patch.
