Tetas, would you mind sending your OS and computer details to [email protected] - want to gather more details to pass to the dev team! Thanks
Hi everyone!
Following the launch of our recent free expansion Wargroove: Double Trouble, we thought it would be a great time to highlight some more community-made maps for you all to download and try out for yourselves. These will also be featured in-game!
Psst, did you know that we’ve updated the Factions Quiz[wargroove.com] to include the Outlaws too now? Maybe you should give it another go…
1. Cold War by Connor – Code: DL3KNM7G[wargroove.com]
This is an interesting map layout – Cold War places your Stronghold in the immediate enemy territory, protected initially only by 2 trebuchets. There’s a central Tower for air unit recruitment, and a Hideout on either side to bring Riflemen and Thieves into the mix. We played this map local multiplayer, but the creator warns against trying out vs AI, which might start destroying its own Stronghold keep walls! Hopefully, the creator makes a v2 of this map to fix this.
2. A Call to the Faithful by CannibalRed1 – Code: PEZXSYPX[wargroove.com]

Open the library tab in steam click on Wargroove (right click) go to properties/ local files / search local files
A new window will pop up with the files from Wargroove open the folder Win64_bin right click on the wargroove64.exe and run compabile modus. Click on the first option and click further use now the Windows Server 2008 (services Pack 1) and the game will run again.
Have fun

When I starts the game, the Windows 7 bar is in front of the game when the game is in fullscreen. Could you fix that?
I have ppp 150% to get bigger fonts and read the text of Windows better.

Try running the game with --fullscreen. That puts the game in exclusive fullscreen mode. This mode is experimental and technically unsupported. It might get saved to the game settings, if so, you can undo it by using --borderless. Read more

Can I have some more info, please?
1. Did the game ever run for you?
2. What's your Operating System?
3. What's your video card?
4. What is your Windows User name? (i.e. the name of the folder containing your "Desktop" and "Downloads" directories, typically located in "c:\Users". For example, mine is "c:\Users\amz", so "amz" is my Windows user name) Read more
Hi all, aforementioned patch is now LIVE. (If you don't see it, you might need to restart Steam to force it to update.)
Thanks for your patience, everyone!
Earlier we attempted a fix that broke the game for other players. Hopefully this will allow everyone to play without issues. Please let us know on this thread if you still have issues launching the game after this patch, or, especially, if the patch breaks your game when it worked before.
Wargroove now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4, priced at £15.99 / $19.99 / 16.99€, and playable in 12 languages.
FAQ
What is Wargroove?
Wargroove is a turn-based strategy game for up to 4 players, in which each player takes control of an army and its commander unit to wage war on their enemies! Use your Commander’s ‘groove’ to strategically sway the fight in your favour and take to online multiplayer to challenge your friends. You can even design and share online your very own maps, cut-scenes and campaign stories with easy-to-use editors and in-depth customisation tools!
So it’s basically like Advance Wars?
Kinda, but it’s more complicated than that! There’s plenty of core gameplay differences, such as Commanders taking a more active role on the battlefield, a critical hit system, 2-4 player online multiplayer, asynchronous play and local co-op, a super robust map, campaign and cut-scene editor as well as an arcade mode for each character and series of fun puzzle mod... Hey there. Mac support is in the works, but may not be available day 1 - we'll keep you all posted though.
Niiice! Glad you guys are looking forward to it :)
Hey there! Superconsole here from Chucklefish. Wargroove is certainly heavily inspired by Advance Wars, but there's some key differences;
> Commanders take a more active role on the battlefield than AW's COs. They can capture and attack like regular units, but have much higher health and attack stats. They also each have their own special 'groove' attack, which can drastically change up the battle and cause you to revise your strategy. But their placement on the battlefield also makes them vulnerable, as it's game over if they're KOed.
> The critical system is also something new to Wargroove. Each unit has certain conditions where they can achieve a critical attack (e.g. a Swordsman critical hits when adjacent to its Commander). Criticals are really key to gameplay and strategy-making decisions in a match.
> Wargroove has 2-4 player online multiplayer (as well as local co-op), and you can even play asynchronously if you're perhaps playing with a friend on a different time-zone.
