Could you upload your output_log.txt from the same folder somewhere too? Doesn't look like it's running out of memory, so must be something else. Ideally could you upload the file somewhere for download? It's just easier for me to look through than a copy on pastebin. :)
Here's a few sites you can upload it to, which do not require you to sign up first:
https://uploadfiles.io/ - free, no sign-up, can handle large log files
https://paste.ee/ - fast, no sign-up required (some log files will be too large for it though)
https://zerobin.net/ - bit clunky, but can handle huge files, no sign-up required Read more
We'll need to see the output_log.txt (called player.log on Mac and Linux) to see what's causing it. Here's where to find the log depending on your operating system. To easily find the local files for the game, right click your game in the Steam library, select Properties, go to the Local Files tab and select Browse local files.
Windows
\SteamApps\common\Cities_Skylines\Cities_Data\output_log.txt
Mac OS X
Users//Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log
Linux
~/.config/unity3d/Colossal Order/Cities: Skylines/Player.log
As we can't attach files here on Steam, you will need to upload the file somewhere else. Here's a few sites you can upload it to, which do not require you to sign up first:

How far do you get? Do you see the launcher? It shows up after pressing Play in Steam. Do you get to the main menu of the game?
Then the file I need is called output_log.txt
If your Steam is installed in the default location, it will be found here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\Cities_Data
Wrong file I'm afraid. That's one called GameOverlayUI.exe.log.last - I need the output_log.txt (called player.log on Mac and Linux).
See my previous response for where to find it and some file sharing sites you can use. Any cloud drive (like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud etc) will also work.

Ryzen 7 with Geforce RTX 260. All my other games play flawlessly so no I don't think it is a limitation of my laptop. I f you bought something from a retailer and your goods did not perform as they should would you go to the manufacturer or the company who sold it to you to put it right??? I sent the problem some time ago to Paradox and they reffered me back to Steam. So I am going round in circles with this and I would expect steam to sort it out or give a refund which neither seems to be happening.

If you can post your log somewhere, I'd be happy to take a look and see what's going on. But without a look at your game's log, I'd just be guessing. It's easier for me to help you with a log, so I don't have you try a bunch of different things, which aren't relevant to your problem. :) Read more

You can upload it somewhere and link to it, then I'll have a look. Or you can make a post on the official support forums here: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/support-bug-reports.879/

First thing to figure out is if it's related to mods/assets. To do that add the launch options -noWorkshop and -disableMods then start a new city to test. You don't have to build anything, we just need to see if it saves properly.
How To Set Launch Options
  • Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
  • Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button.
  • Enter the launch options you wish to apply (be sure to separate each code with a space) and click OK. Should look like this:
    -noWorkshop -disableMods
  • Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

First things first. I really recommend you save manually, and make a new save each time. This one is an autosave, and it's never great to have that be your main and only save. I add a number at the end each time I save, so I have CityName1, CityName2, CityName3 and so on.
I don't think this is a mod issue, I think it's the way the roads and lines are set up. You have some very long and complicated transport lines, and as far as I can tell, they're the ones that are broken. In trying to fix one, I came across this green line:
https://i.imgur.com/Jy1o2Lk.jpg
Notice how it's going all over the place on the highway? It's getting trapped in all the one way roads trying to get to the next stop. It's not ideal and I get confused just looking at that image, trying to track down where it's going. :P
I would redesign the lines having problems. Try and go for some simpler shorter lines. I recommend these two video tutorials to get some ideas for how to more efficiently set up your public transp... Read more

If you can post your savegame, we might be able to see what's happening. To do that, go to the Content Manager, find Savegames on the left, find your save and click Share. Then give it a name and a description if you'd like, click Upload and copy the url of the page that opens. Post that here and we'll be able to download the save ourselves. :)
If you're using mods, make sure you don't have any old broken or incompatible ones by checking your mods against this list:

Originally posted by Future: This is just a funny experience I had, I'm not asking for any help. I should of said "took longer than usual" instead of "way too long" because I guess it seems I'm saying that 20 min is too long.
the reason it takes so long is because I have 116 mods (Including ones like Real City, RTT, and other mods that slow down loading time), and 8600+ assets installed; it just took a bit longer to load this time and after I installed the FPS Booster mod it went from 10-20 min to load (note: according to LSM, the average time is around 15 min but it varies) down to 10ish min.

Usually 20 min is considered too long and I'd be concerned something wasn't right - but 8600+ assets explains it. If you ever get sick of the long loading times, then lowering the amount of assets is the way to go. Here's the average number of assets that different amounts of RAM are expected to be able to handle. Anything beyond that means longer loading times and potential crashes (if... Read more

Set up a custom sized pagefile of 32 GB (that's 32000 MB since pagefiles are measured in MB). That should do the trick. Here's a guide that explains how. :)
