You have your squad but there are also "competitive squad" that needs to be configured on the Temdeck.
Go to your Temdeck, and check on the left side where your squad is, you should be able to change the currently selected squad with LT/RT.

The ban system is largely flawed
It's not largely flawed, but some false positives can happen. That's why we have an appeal system to review the cases.
The average wait-time for response is 3-6days, yet a popular streamer gets priority and unban as fast as within 2 hours.
More like the same day or the next one. We had previous contact with Plus due to its previous ban and that's why we checked their account manually to see if there was some new problems in the anti cheat.
I just personally reviewed your case and your ban appeal and indeed, you've been banned correctly. We've detected multiple and reiterative cheats on your account and I just rechecked everything and saw the same thing.
I'm locking the thread to avoid more missinformation.
Banned cheaters just want to discredit us and put fear in every legit user. They've been organizing themselves to raid our communities (like this very same reddit thread) to do so.
No, we don't ban innocent players.
No, the appeals are not automated.
No, hunting lumas for a large number of hours won't get you banned.

Fixed changing techniques not correctly working after/before also changing an equipped gear.- Fixed hold techniques not properly working sometimes on competitive battles.
- Fixed Nidrasil being able to attack while sleeping after using Narcoleptic Hit.
- Fixed Fever Rush trait being applied before getting the Status condition instead of after.
- Fixed Scavenger healing the Temtem when another Temtem gets knocked out outside of the battle.
- Fixed pickable items reappearing after an egg hatches while inside a building.
- Fixed Temtem not having full health when inspecting them while being assigned to a competitive squad.
- Fixed cosmetics from FreeTem not being equipable if the player has already bought them on a Boutique.
