(2020) I’ve finally lost my faith in this game

Disclaimer: please discuss in a calm manner as this may trigger some people. I will keep my opinion short and sweet.

As many of us noticed, there have been multiple ban waves happening in the past weeks. At the start when I heard the people who claimed that they were wrongfully banned, my reaction was “yeh right. As if Crema would ban innocent players. You’re just lying your way to get yourself unbanned”. I’ve also created a post on this reddit last week to support Crema, and suggest players to stay calm and “just do the right thing and you won’t get banned”.

But my opinion has finally changed when something happened today - THE temtem stream PlusOP got banned, the second time, live on stream. (Back story for those who don’t know who he is, he is the most supportive temtem streamer and have been banned, then unbanned after Crema realised it was a false positive ban).

Edit: apparently he got unbanned again within hours due to the commotion in the temtem community.

This incident tells me two things - The ban system is largely flawed (perma banning a player, then unban him due to false positive. And then ban the same player AGAIN for the same reason).

Secondly - Crema has been extremely bias with their appeal/response. The average wait-time for response is 3-6days, yet a popular streamer gets priority and unban as fast as within 2 hours.

As of right now, my account is still safe and running, but I’m very disappointed with how Crema handle bans and their attitude towards them(thinks that they are 100% on the right). I have NO IDEA what triggers the ban, so as of now, I’ve decide to move on from temtem until they stabilise their system. I do not want to spend weeks Luma hunting in saipark and end up with my account getting perma-ban. Good luck guys and again please, keep the discussion civil.

The ban system is largely flawed

It's not largely flawed, but some false positives can happen. That's why we have an appeal system to review the cases.

The average wait-time for response is 3-6days, yet a popular streamer gets priority and unban as fast as within 2 hours.

More like the same day or the next one. We had previous contact with Plus due to its previous ban and that's why we checked their account manually to see if there was some new problems in the anti cheat.
