You can change your steam preorder for a Discord preorder and get alpha access now. Read our latest Kickstarter update for more info about that :)
If i buy it now on Discord, but I plan to play the full game when it comes out on a console and not booted up from steam or discord or on PC at all, will this work? Will i have to buy it again for console?
You will have to buy it again if you want to play on other platforms different than Discord.

No, Discord Nitro is not needed!
1) The preorder will last two weeks unless we start seeing problems in the server due to the influx of new users. There shouldn't be any problem but you can never be too sure.
2) You will probably have to buy the game on the regional pricing for Japan but other than that I don't think you'll have any problems. The Discord store doesn't have regional blocks as far as I know.
Once you get the skates you can go back to the Volcano and explore it.
The climbing gear is not available right now.
The final game will feature a map of the areas you've explored :)
