On a good day I can do:
- Gaming 10 hours
- Coding 7 hours
- Reading (interesting book) 5 hours
- Paperwork 5 hours
- Game design 4.5 hours
- Reading (difficult book) 3 hours
- Article/book writing 3 hours
- Article/book editing 2.5 hours /3
The fatigue is task-specific. Each task has its own gas tank, and burns its tank at its own rate. There's also a universal limit.
After years of self-observation, I even know how long I can do specific tasks... /2
I believe in working very hard when you're trying to do something special.
But after a certain amount of effort, willpower is irrelevant. Like an exhausted muscle, the brain just stops working well. I look at the screen and... nothing comes to mind. /1
Here's a side by side comparison of the Bison and the Muffalo I got together cause I'm trying to do research so I can do another illustration.
I really gotta point out how fuckin weird this things face is.
The bison has a snout & a visible nose. Its eyes are oriented on the sides of the head. The Muffalo's head and face look like how they illustrate HUMANS faces.
In fact, as far as I can tell, the Muffalo is the ONLY creature in the game that shows the face in 3/4 view from the side. Even humans get put in profile.
So... I have no fuckin idea what this thing's great is supposed to look like, other than: Not A Bison
It's a pair of ellipses I dragged out in Photoshop in 2013, cut in half using the box-select tool.
It filled its purpose, that's what matters!

@ShazamHam It's part of the Ideology expansion, which wasn't finished when they planned out the console edition, so doesn't (so far) exist in the Console Edition.

I'm not having any problems registering new accounts on my end; sometimes the forum's security gets antsy about people trying to register while using certainly VPNs, any chance you're using one?
It can be hard to handle such cases given the weird stuff players can do in the game.
Think of an exploit where we 1 colonist and 8 slaves, and a resurrector serum. We can kill the solitary colonist, all slaves become colonists, then we resurrect the colonist. What happens?

There's also the notion that they might not be allied with each other at all, having been enslaved from mutually-hating factions.
Not saying there's nothing we could do better here, but it can be trickier than it looks!

Discovering a new game genre is super valuable.
But many of those undiscovered genres are things that wouldn't appeal to us nerdy game devs.
This is the problem with "make the game you want to play". Other nerds just like you already did that.
