@rai_sin_san Sorry about that, it's been fixed. My apologies.
@EJTHANSEN Sorry about that, it's fixed now.
@pocket_caribou Absolutely. You can also opt out of the royal title progression but still keep the Empire and quests. Or you can fight the Empire.
@galffy Yes we do :) A good chunk extra
@ZaltheraxGaming You could buy DRM-free but you need to wait a few days for the Steam access registry for it to be set up. If you want to play right now you'd have to buy on Steam I'm afraid.
@EJTHANSEN Where did you buy it? Where does the error appear?
@KappeiY Yes, you can activate or deactivate it entirely in-game (before starting a new game).
During play you can also opt in or out of royal title rewards for quests. If you opt out you get other rewards instead. Or you can fight the Empire if you wish.
@ConfoosdRaccoon I'm not against expansions if they expand the game meaningfully, and the original game stands well alone.
We tried to hit a balance between making new experiences and retaining the RimWorld-ness of the base game.
Available DRM-free at https://rimworldgame.com/royalty

Thanks for the replies everyone. Based on the report patterns (issues appearing and then disappearing hours or a day later) it sounds like some mods may be updating incorrectly and breaking games until they're fixed.
I've been getting sporadic reports that the fix to RimWorld 1.0 (currently version 1.0.2551) broke some mods. Can anyone confirm that the current default Steam branch version works or does not work with mods?
@pudgerro looks awesome to me, thanks!
@Fuzzel_ Those ones are correct, 'supportedGameVersions' is actually obsolete and modders should change to 'supportedVersions'.
@Fuzzel_ Restart Steam to make it notice
@pudgerro Anything over a handful would be good. Invasive code mods like combat extended, etc.
If anyone would sanity check it with a beefy mod list and let me know if it still works that'd be great.
We just released a small compatibility fix for RimWorld 1.0.
Please let me know if you have any issues with it!

@erikkain Censorship is about preventing discussions between others. "I won't let you say this message to other people."
If you just hate a product for your own lack of enjoyment, that's not censorship.
These can be (deliberately) conflated but if you care they're not hard to separate.
@henryyoung720 Yeah, I agree, the icons aren't as different as they should be. Thanks for the note on the history charts as well - I didn't realize that one before.
