This is probably something that will end up happening in some form or another once the Official SDK is out. But, to answer your question about it not happening already:
- While some GREAT maps exist, I can only think of 1 or 2 Frontline/Invasion maps. And those are riddled with various problems.
- Optimization on modded maps isn't something most modders are capable of solving on their own. And the Devs can't exactly ship unpolished/buggy/low fps maps to the base game.
- And while some members of our community are long-time modders, anything they made that was deemed "worthy" of being put into the game would still need plenty of hours of work by the Devs to make "game ready"
- As well as a host of other issues relating to the non-Mordhau Assets that modders use. Like, when someone gives their stuff away for Non-profit use. The Devs adding them directly into the game could bring about legal trouble.
All in all, I think the Auto-Download system we have works well enough for our current needs, and could be greatly improved by a robust set of tools in the Server Browser.

That’s strange, I had heard that multiple times.
Also the tracers are colored to indicate sweet spots, and even have descriptors of those sweet spots in the options.
Edit: Double-checked. Yeah, in the settings where you can enable tracers, it pretty explicitly states green tracers as “additional damage tracers” which is obviously not currently in the game.
Additional damage tracers are simply extra tracers that some protruding weapons have on top of the straight tracer, like the axe. They exist to improve the collision accuracy by making the head connect before the shaft in some cases, but were never used or intended as sweet spot tracers.
Some commands are just holdovers from default unreal engine, a lot don't do anything. What are you trying to do?

Weapons during development were intended to have sweet spot mechanics. Then it was found that it was far too easy to abuse this and rush in close with small weapons and render weapons with shafts and handles useless.
Gameplay > Realism every time. Leave realism to games that are actually intended to be realistic.

They will be used in the matchmaking screen in the grid of game mode "tiles".
It was indeed used for jousting, it is (like you mentioned) designed in a way that protects the user of wooden pieces which are from the lances when they impact. The Devs of Mordhau could probably tweak it a bit for better usability/realism. For example removing the plate ( or making it smaller), making the helmet smaller in general.
There are many ways to tweak the model for the Frog-mouth Helmet. And personally I think that it would actually be comepletely fine the way it is, because I suggested it because it just looks very cool ( I’m also a giant fan of the helmet and own one myself).
Maybe there could be something added like jousting helmets and eventually a Perk which adds certain bonuses and lets people use jousting equipment. A gamemode could also be combined with that eventually. But these are only ideas and a little suggestion which I think might look cool when used with the right armors and metal tints and what not.
the thing though - if we tweak it to work within the confines of the game, it might just end up looking like some weird LARP attempt instead of like an actual frogmouth.
it could be cool, but there are a lot of question marks surrounding how we would make it work. no guarantees, but we're aware people want it :)
