Ever wanted to display your Banner on your in-game Outfit? Now you can wear your Banner proudly with new cosmetics coming to the Item Shop! Customize certain select Outfits, Pickaxes, Gliders and Back Bling with a personally selected icon and color. You’ll also see the Banner category added to all cosmetics that support Banner functionality in your locker.

The first of these new cosmetics are the Banner Brigade, bringing eight Outfits into the store this week for you to pick up and show off your style. There will also be a Pickaxe, Glider and Back Bling available. You can preview how your chosen icon and color will look on your selected Banner Outfit before purchasing by selecting it first within the locker.

  Hey Fortnite community, We’re introducing a new currency type in v9.40 for non founding Save the World players that we’re calling X-Ray Tickets. X-Ray tickets will replace V-Bucks for all non founding players and can be earned by taking part in quests, missions alerts, and daily login rewards. You’ll be able to use this currency exclusively on X-Ray Llamas within Save the World and does not cross over into Battle Royale. Redeeming tickets for an X-Ray Llama will consume your X-Ray Tickets before using your V-Bucks. If your account does not have enough tickets, it will then swap to using V-Bucks for the purchase instead.  Earning a steady stream of Llamas is an important part of Save the World. This change gives non-founders the ability to continue progressing smoothly through the game, while gradually building up their power and collection just by logging in and playing.

Hey all,

Starting with Season 10, the PC version of Fortnite will require a graphics card capable of running Microsoft DirectX 11. While a DirectX 11-capable graphics card has always been one of Fortnite’s system requirements, we’ve kept support online for players with older graphics cards - so they could keep playing! However, when Season 10 begins, Fortnite will no longer be compatible with these older graphics cards. This allows us to focus our development and testing efforts to further optimize the Fortnite experience for all players. Thank you for the continued support!

Hey folks!  This week we’re openly discussing critical bugs found over the weekend, new features, and our upcoming competitive-focused AMA. 
 

Weekend Issues

Last week, we discovered a critical issue where players could become stuck in a vehicle and unable to exit. We made the choice to remove the root of the issue by disabling all vehicles, rather than electing to play through the Finals even with the bug. We felt that it was more fair to remove all vehicles to ensure players weren’t penalized for something outside of their control during the Finals. Due to a critical issue with players getting stuck inside vehicles, we will be disabling all vehicles in Arena and Fortnite World Cup Online Opens through this weekend.  We plan on re-enabling vehicles in the Tournament and Arena playlists next week after our fix is implemented in the v9.10 update.  We also discovered several audio issues where, in certain situations, gun-fire was ducking building sounds, and player landing sound could be... Heya folks, With the launch of Season 9 in Fortnite we’re excited to announce that we will be supporting the Arabic language throughout Fortnite. That means no matter where you choose to drop in Battle Royale, what mission you choose in Save the World, or how you plan to build in Creative you’ll have the ability to experience it in Arabic. Our Player Support team will be fully prepared to assist in Arabic with account or Fortnite related issues. We’ll be listening too - if you have feedback to share our Arabic social media channels will be coming online around this period as well.  What about Middle East Servers? This is an area we’re focused on finding a solution as well, and we hear your calls for dedicated Middle East server support. We’re still a few months from having services come online and hope to provide a more meaningful update on server support before then. Hey all, We’re chatting this week about the recently unvaulted Drum Gun, the concept of LTMs in the tournament playlist, and want to weigh in on the discussion around, “What happens when my Duo partner disconnects?” Let’s jump in.
 

Drum Gun

This past weekend during the Unvaulting event, the community at large chose to bring back the Drum Gun from the Vault. The gun was immediately added to loot tables in all modes within Fortnite (including Arena) except the ongoing Tournament playlist for the weekend.  You can expect to see the Drum Gun in this weekend’s Tournament playlist. In the v9.00 update today we’ve adjusted the spawn rate of the Drum Gun to be more in line with other similar items. We will be closely monitoring feedback over the Season launch to determine any next steps.

Hey everyone! In v8.50 we made some adjustments to the top end of Twine Peaks and we’ve been keeping a close watch on the discussions regarding these changes. We definitely understand the need that top end players have for things like higher-end crafting materials and, more importantly, Epic and Legendary PERKUP. Because of this, we’ll be making the following changes in v9.0:

Twine Peaks

We are currently evaluating the distribution of XP versus Perk and Evolution Materials to determine if a greater change to XP is necessary. In the short term, we’re increasing the frequency of all rewards in high-end Twine Peaks missions with the exception of XP rewards, to allow these other reward types to appear more often. • Twine Peaks missions will now follow a more linear path which offers greater readability than the existing “pie-chart” structure.
