• Nanocoating Designs on Upwell structures will no longer be revoked if a structure enters a low-power or abandoned mode but will not be displayed until the structure is back to full power. 🤝

• Authorized corporation members can now revoke Nanocoating Licenses, including licenses for structures in low power and abandoned mode.

Last year we gave Factional Warfare a substantial update as part of the Uprising expansion, and Viridian gave groups in the warzone new tools to earn income and motivate their pilots. We’ve been closely monitoring the Factional Warfare ecosystem as it sought out a new equilibrium, both by examining data and contextualizing through the amazing feedback EVE’s dedicated FW communities have continually provided.

Resulting from these observations and feedback, this year's August release introduces several improvements and adjustments to this passionately-engaged area of gameplay aimed at correcting imbalances and improving entertainment and engagement for all capsuleers in the Warzone!

CSM 18 Submissions opened!

The submissions for those interested in running for election this year to join the Council of Stellar Management opened. We're excited to see that we've received over 30 applications so far! Campaign season for the CSM is a fascinating time, seeing candidates starting up campaign threads trying to rally support across the community, as well as reaching out to all sorts of content creators, so expect to start reading and hearing about them all across the community in the next month!

Effective immediately "Abyssal Tunneling" using filaments is an exploit.

This means that if you deliberately use a filament in System A during cluster shutdown to create a warp tunnel kick-out, and then deliberately use the same mechanic in a System B at a different downtime - just to get returned to System A - then you are intentionally using this exploit. This is an unintended mechanic of getting kicked out of a filament warp tunnel exactly when downtime hits.

Players who are found to use this mechanic will be subject to disciplinary actions as per the Terms of Service.

With the 19th Alliance Tournament less than a month away now, teams are deep into theory-crafting and testing their "It works on the spreadsheet" compositions via scrimmages with other teams and internal practices. Part of that practice is finding a Flagship that synergizes well with the composition, as well as the challenge of both finding someone with the skills to fly it and hunting down the modules that you wish to supply it with. The last thing you want to happen is for your flagship Raven to end up being equipped with the following: Lazers.

Flagships in the tournament are unique in that teams can bring just a single flagship, but should it meet its demise, it cannot be fielded again. As pilots continue to feverishly seek out and piece together Guristas design data, reports of fragmentary ship designs now being recovered from high-ranking Angel Cartel operatives illustrate an ongoing high-priority Salvation Angels initiative concurrent with Guristas efforts already underway.

Given the equal parts played by these underworld elements in the Guri Malakim raids this past May which saw the extraction of ancient data and technology from derelict Jove Observatories across the cluster, there can be little question that some manner of shared ambition has compelled the Guristas and the Cartel to pursue new designs.

Guristas and Angel Cartel Data Fragments

Eagle-eyed EVE players have recently noticed that certain Guristas and Angel Cartel NPCs are dropping data fragments that, when stitched together, seem to show schematics of unfamiliar ships.

One such capsuleer is HongsamCandy who has been collecting fragments of a Guristas ship and by reconstructing them has hit upon what appears to be some kind of destroyer-class vessel, apparently based on the Corax hull:

Following the launch of pre-orders for the EVE 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition it came to our attention that not all denizens of New Eden were being treated equally due to shipping, duties and taxes of considerable variation being applied to orders.
