It's not purely vanilla but as someone enjoying vanilla & hard collaboration, Mighty Moose is a nice server that is lightly modded, aka still plays very vanilla but with things made smoother (and exhaustion, but smartly modded)

Yes, we can recommend that server especially for players looking for a nice experience with exhaustion as well, though I'd personally not consider it vanilla if pure vanilla was seeked, it uses some mods that alter gameplay from vanilla - might be good enough for "enough vanilla", though. They're part of the upcoming recommended servers program.

White tiger has used mods in the past, to varying degrees. Some of these things have later become official. It 100% is always running some mods, such as mods for extending what variables laws can manipulate, and logging of player actions.

Typical admin tools generally aren't considered removing a vanilla state (and nearly all populated servers use some), but that isn't relevant as it has tons of recipe changes.

Ralain

It's not heavily modded, it's heavily structured. All vanilla.

White Tiger has tons of custom recipe changes and as such is not to be considered vanilla.
The only thing WT does not have is any content-adding mods, the only thing that requires download is the WT settlement flags that any settlement can send in for their usage.

It is not possible to have the game retroactively add features of a changed world generator into the game. You could only spawn the sulfur, level an area to be all sulfur ore or use the recipes with byproducts.

Extinction achievements triggering despite species not being extinct is a known bug.

There is an updated version of that image, which I have attached. Most things however didn't change.

Please refer to the FAQ we have over on Steam: https://steamcommunity.com/app/382310/discussions/4/4701287772393189498/

If none of the potential solutions help, it notes how to reach out to support for further investigation. Please note though, that if you are using Starlink, we unfortunately cannot help you with this issue - you would need to reach out to Starlink.

Login to the SLG account on play.eco using the "Login with Steam" option, that should update your account status immediately.

Automation is not in the scope currently, we actually took back some of the Automation we already had for the manual labour. Automation is something on our list, but that's definately more to the end of EA, as it's a big standalone feature.

That's wrong. Multi-Packs in Steam have been discontinued long ago, only few games can still sell multiple copies of their games at once. That's why Eco doesn't offer multipacks on Steam - simply because they removed the feature. Hence he cannot have a multipack on Steam.

If you buy a 4 Pack on our website, you get an account with three invites on our website that can be sent to other e-mails to also create accounts. All of these accounts can be linked with Steam. We do not send out keys directly, we are not allowed to do so.

We take part in some of the Steam Sales with 15% off. Summer sale is a big one, so we probably do, but i cannot promise that.

The cause and effects explorer was removed in a recent version to be overhauled for a future Update, though not 9.0.

Yeah, definitely set it to No Collaboration. You can select multiple specializations - they are gained at a base rate every day, plus a multiplier (that you can upgrade through food and housing in the game) and that setting changes the base multiplier. If you're only 3 people, you'll need lots of specializations each to fill out the needs of the tech tree. Generally, the games' wiki, https://eco.gamepedia.com/ is a great resource since it explains a lot more than the ingame text.

Please no longer link to gamepedia, we stopped our cooperation with them and the wiki is no longer official nor endorsed by us or worked on by the former wiki admins. We use https://wiki.play.eco now, without ads and recent software. It also allows anyone to edit, without permanently required approval by Wiki-Admins nor with the requirement to register. Registered accounts get patrol rights automatically after a while, just like on Wikipedia.

Not without cheating them in or finding them on another island. That problem is supposed to be fixed in alpha 9. If it ever releases.

Indeed, Update 9.0 allows you to use any seeds for the farming book. The spawn rate of seeds has only been slightly adapted, though, as it's intended for them to be taken care of by farmers with the respective specialty.

While the veins are indeed very big, them being on the surface is a bug that is fixed in newer versions.

Likely caused by an outdated EcoSim.eco file in your Configs directory. Remove the configs directory, repair via Steam and create a new world. You can also use the old one, but it will take several real time days to recover.

The chance is 1 in 1000 when eating Elk Tacos, so i'd rather congratulate you, if this was Diablo III you'd got a nice legendary. *g*

All you need to do is actually relog, then it's gone.

Thanks for the reply!

I think the option to change resource cost and crafting time will definitely help low/no-collab play throughs.

I wish I could play the game as part of a larger community to experience that group problem solving but I just don’t have the ability.

Feel free to join in on the next cycle of White-Tiger, one of our official servers, very nice and helpful community :)

Wow, so I just dropped by this subreddit for the first time in a couple months to see what’s up, after I’d invested a lot of time into Eco in the past and really enjoyed it.

But man, after reading the tone and content of the company’s responses to the OP, I gotta tell ya, as an uninvolved observer just passing through, I’d have a hard time believing that the OP’s claim is false. Whoever is representing the company here might want to work on their soft skills a bit, it’s a turnoff for prospective buyer and those seeking help. Just a suggestion. Fun game, but dudes... lighten up.

Kind of hard to pass off Eco as an educational tool for environmentalism and harmony when real world support is being provided by Ivan Von Banhammer.

Well, sorry, but such allegations that essentially are fake news at this moment (i still haven't received any proof from the OP, nor as anyone here, so i could at least investigate what happened) does hurt our sales and is usually done to actively damage us. That's simply inacceptable and where stuff is inacceptable i will react accordingly - be it with a ban hammer if required. Full transparency to you.

To be very clear: Stating such wrong allegations, especially if made on purpose, is a punishable crime in my country and sueable for damages. It may not be for yours, but that's irrelevant.

If this really happened it can easily be reviewed by sending me the name and content of the review, so i can talk with my colleagues if anyone by chance happened to flag a random review for no reason while retaining other similar ones (which they surely didn't) and ask steam. In any case, if the review actually got removed, steam has made that decision, we do not decide what reviews get removed. ...
