Hi @PremiumBuddd,
No.
If you've unlinked a platform from one EA account and linked it to another, you will be able to access the content on that newer EA account with any linked platforms, but those will not bring any content from the original EA account.

Hi @shilk,

Cross Progression means you'll be able to access the content/progress on a single EA account with all the platforms connected to that same EA account.
It does not allow progress to be transferred between separate EA accounts. This has never been possible I'm afraid. Mako.png Read more

Hey folks,

If you had progress on two separate EA accounts, that cannot be merged or transferred to another EA account.

Cross Progression allows you to access the content on a single EA account with the platforms connected to that EA account, and cannot be used to transfer progress to a different EA account entirely.

If you've unlinked a platform from one EA account and linked it to another, you will be able to access the content on that newer EA account with any linked platforms, but those will not bring any content from the original EA account.

If you lost progress due to the unlink and were wanting that to be restored, you'll need to re-link that platform to its original EA account.

Hey @shilk,

Progress is stored on the EA account where it was first unlocked, not on your individual platforms such as Xbox or Steam.

Unlinking a platform from the EA account will result in a loss of progress as outlined here and in the warning that must be accepted to proceed with an unlink.

Progress cannot be merged from one EA account to another, which is why you're not seeing any of the progress that was made on your Xbox.

That's still available on the original EA account, in this situation it's just no longer available in-game as you've removed the platform that was linked to it.

If you'd like to have that restored, you'll need to re-link the Xbox profile to its original EA account.

So if you unlinked your PSN account and linked it to another EA profile, it would reset your progress.

It's not possible to merge two separate accounts and keep the progress.

Please see this article on our website: https://www.ea.com/games/apex-legends/news/cross-progression

Note: to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts created after Oct 26th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged.

We explain the risks associated with unlinking process here on our website.

There is no calendar for this that I could share @diogg2 . This process depends on many different factors, so please be patient and check your game from time to time for further updates.

@iiiHatastudiii,

it is possible to merge two EA accounts, however, this will delete progresses, etc. of one account. Merging two EA accounts basically means that the games themselves will be transferred, but only the primary EA account will keep its progresses and items as it's only possible to transfer the games themselves to create one account, and it's not possible to move progress from one EA account to another. This also applies to relinking platform accounts, as progress is specific to the EA account, not the platform account.

In itself, you're not supposed to have more than one EA account, as this is something many cheaters use to get around bans. While it's possible to accidentally make a second account, it's recommended to merge these as early as possible after noticing to prevent this loss of progress.

The point of cross progression is not to get progress accounts completely different accounts, but rather, across different platforms - this is the definition of cross prog...

Hey @dpasomnk,

To clarify, if you had progress on separate EA accounts, this was never able to be merged even before October 26th. This is not what's changing with Cross Progression.

Progress is stored on the EA account level, not individual platforms like Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, etc.

Cross Progression is allowing you to access the content on an EA account with any platform connected to that same account, not bring over progress from a different EA account.

If you had unlinked a platform to try this out and ended up losing progress as a result, you'll want to try re-linking that platform to the original EA account to restore the progress.

Hi @smoyer80,
Did you try reaching out to support to get them to help re-link the account as suggested in the solution post? Mako.png

Thanks for the post @ApexQuid!

We're aware of this happening and the team is investigating. Thumbs up

Hello @ZEXT_TTV,

as both are on the same account now, you should be able to use your Xbox account on steam, once you get the prompt that cross progression is happening for you. By unlinking and relinking your steam account, you most likely lost most of your items on there already. If your Xbox account is the higher level one, you will be able to play with it on steam.

Hey @Fusiada,

Progress is stored on the EA account where it was first earned, not your individual PlayStation or PC accounts.

This means that if you unlink a platform from the EA account, it will no longer have access to that content. This would be why you're not seeing any progress after unlinking both accounts and connecting them to a separate EA account.

Progress cannot be transferred between EA accounts, so the only way to restore that progress would be to re-link each platform to its original EA account.

If you're unable to go through that process to get them re-linked, you can reach out to support directly for more assistance.

If you create a new case here and select Game Support > The EA app > I want to update my EA Account information, you should be able to get in touch with the support team so they can assist further.  Mako.png Read more

Hey @TOBYKOOLEN

Sorry to hear you're having some trouble getting back in-game.

This issue is one we're currently working on addressing, but in the meantime changing your console language should help get around this until it's fixed up.

Check the link below for more details and to keep an eye out for updates!

Hey @Zayko005,

Your progress is stored on the EA account where it was first earned, not the individual platforms (Steam, Xbox, etc.)

If you unlink a platform from one EA account to move it to another EA account, that progress stays behind on the first EA account.

This would be why your Steam account went back to level 1, so if you're wanting that progress restored you would need to move the Steam account back to the original EA account.

If you run into any issues with the linking process, you can contact support directly so they can take a look.

You can create a new case here and select Game Support > The EA app > I want to update my EA Account information to get in touch with the support team so they can assist further.   Mako.png Read more

@Fangww1

Accounts haven't been wiped. You just don't have access to anything on it due to unlinking. You can relink your account again after 6 months pass.

Hey @Allergicsea70,

I'm afraid if you had played on two separate EA accounts, there wouldn't be a way to transfer progress.

Cross Progression makes your content on one EA account available to all the platforms connected to that same EA account, and is not able to merge content from other accounts entirely, sorry.

Feel free to check through the link below for more details and information about this, thanks!

Hey @IamNotFllyy,

Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, you've linked an old Steam account to the EA account that currently has your PSN account and progress linked, correct?

If that's the case, yes, you'll be able to access the content on that EA account (which would be from your PSN account) once Cross Progression is enabled on your account.

Cross Progression is being rolled out in waves, so you'll see an in-game notification pop up once your account has been migrated. After that you'll be able to access the content on that EA account with any platform connected to the same account.

Hey @TheToxicBear,

Cross Progression does not combine separate EA accounts. If you're unlinking any platforms from an EA account, you'll be losing that progress.

Please take a look at the FAQ and blog we've posted about Cross Progression as it goes into more detail about these types of situations, thanks!
