i got a general question..how can i provide feedback?
do i just post here on reddit on random posts? is there an official "submit feedback" button somewhere?

We definitely watch Reddit, Twitter, etc. but also send out periodic surveys to gather player opinions on a variety of topics; just spinning things up right now.

can i delete asmtufdriver.sys or will it cause problems?

I can't officially endorse removal of Software that I'm not a subject matter expert on. I'd like to make it clear that the things I've recommended are bandaid fixes, and we're working on greater compatibility layers that should be coming relatively shortly.

I have had players who have removed it without any issue, but I cannot speak for every device regarding this. If you remove this, please do so at your own discretion.

I like that they reduced Raze's grenades to 1, but I feel like they weren't even the problem with her. Her ulti is the problem. You can react to her grenades, but you just can't react to her ulti. Once she sees you, you're just dead. Or, well, she doesn't even need to see you most of the times.

On that point - we want to continue gathering data from this change to see how effective these nerfs will be, but there is a change we're shipping on audio clarity for the ult. When she uses her ult, you'll not only hear her voice line, but also an equip sound for her rocket launcher that can be attenuated in 3D - similar to how you can hear Phoenix's fire coming from a specific location when he starts ulting. Basically, if Raze ults nearby you, you should be able to audiolocate her based off of the rocket equip sound and play accordingly.

This may still not be enough information, especially with Razes who are good at Satcheling themselves forwards to augment their speed with their ult out, but it hopefully will provide better texture to the information you're getting and we can work from there. Rest assured we will continue to make changes if she's not meeting our goals here!

None of this worked for me, also if this is a known issue why is it not listed in the support page? I mean if it can solve it for so many people why not list it in the support page for everyone that doesn't use reddit?

Working on getting these things published and localized

melee only though. The big change imo is that you can walk without making noise. huge.

It's worth calling out that walking in the slow field is even slower than normal walking - it'll still take you quite some time to get through, but should reduce some of the free information and certainty of safety that Sage gets when throwing her slow orbs currently. We felt giving players a slow, silent option adds more texture to the entire ability instead of the previous iteration, "make noise or don't interact with it"

Any word on Vanguard stuttering issues?

Vanguard patches on a separate cadence to the game, a performance improvement was included in an update a few days ago.

If you're still having issues let me know and maybe we can figure it out.

Edit: For anyone who wants to help track this down here's the information that I'm looking for:

  1. Your Vanguard logs from C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard\Logs

  2. A Windows Performance Trace while another game is open and is lagging.

To generate the performance trace these are the steps:

Install Windows APK (only the performance parts are necessary)

  1. Open an admin command prompt

  2. Demonstrate the perf problem (run an impacted game)

  3. Run: xperf -on DiagEasy

  4. Wait a few seconds (hopefully to catch a stutter or frame drop)

  5. Run xperf -d %TEMP%\trace.etl

  6. Send me trace.etl (maybe zip it first and upload it to Google Drive or somewhere)

We have a change in internal playtesting for this. Removes the portrait for your own icon. Should help quite a bit.

looking forward to it! Just out of curiosity.. is there a reason why the Bind minimap has a different orientation than the other two currently? The sites on the Bind minimap go from left to right.

Not intentional. We're unifying all of them.

These recommended solutions did not work for me, however, thanks to this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRgVP7T1z_I , I was able to get the game to work. As shown in the video, I had to disable the Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer driver and reboot my machine.

Keep in mind, this driver did not show up when using sigverif. Also, my copy of windows 10 and my other device drivers are completely up to date.

Thank you for the report, I'm glad it's working for you again but I'm sorry that it was so much trouble!

Do you know if we'll be getting email surveys like riot has done in the past or will it mostly be gathering feedback from places like Reddit/Twitter etc? Thanks!

You’ll definitely be getting email surveys, and the ones about gameplay content and balance will almost certainly be written by yours truly. Building surveys and analyzing data from them is one of my responsibilities on the team. We’ve sent out a few already, actually!

I don't wanna sound annoying as I have requested this many times but I'll say it anyway. Sorry in advance if you've seen this point repeated before:

Hi, I'm a DevOps Server Software Administrator working mainly remotely. My system runs Arch. I play games in Virtual Machines with mounting a graphic card to that specific Virtual Machine. I currently can't play Valorant due to this. Are there plans for a Linux version of the game or being able to play it in a Virtual Machine? If no can I please have a reason why? Thanks for reading my question.

There are currently no plans to support Linux or to add support for Virtual Machines. We don't support virtual environments for a wide range of security issues. However, that does not mean we have not thought about ways we could.  Some of the best Security Researchers I know and work with prefer to run only Linux, and emulate Windows when needed. So Linux & Wine support is an on going passionate discussion but I am sorry I can't make any commitments at this time.

dingo_pepperoni

Please dont be like OW and patch twice a year

No need to worry on this one - we'll be involved more frequently than that. Like Trevor said in the video, we don't want to commit to a specific cadence right now because we want to figure out what works best for the game's health and community, but it's incredibly safe to say that we'll be patching much more frequently than 6 months.

We'll be gathering feedback from you all over the course of closed beta (and past that) on topics like this - how balanced you feel various pieces of the game are, how you feel about the current rate of change in the game, etc.

Hey, there! Sorry about that. It's not meant to be p2w. It's a bug which will be fixed in an upcoming patch. :(

I did not know that VALORANT doesn't support stretched resolutions I always played with a streched resolution in other games (CSGO,APEX) And when i got the access i changed to stretched in Ndvidia control panel and there was no problem but today i played a few matches in the morning and it was all good but, then i quit the game, and in the afternoon i went to play again and it was like this and did not touch anything on my ndvidia settings or any settings at all. But okay, can you explain me how i can restore the default settings please?

(Sorry if my english is not the best)

Hm, there's not an option for it actually.

You could force it by going to this folder "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\ShooterGame\Saved\Config" and deleting the folder with the long string of letters and numbers (you should have just one, or maybe two if someone else plays on your PC). This will force the game to use defaults.

Region: EU

Type of Bug: Resolution switching

Description: Attempting to change resolution or switching between Fullscreen, Borderless Window and Windowed mode doesn't change the resolution to the one I want, it just defaults to 1024x768 no matter what I do, the only way I can play the game in a native resolution is if I play in Borderless Window mode... and that's how I've been playing since day one. In the video below the problem can be seen and I've also shown my default resolution, my specs and that my video drivers are up to date.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ld5zR7oh7pQ

Reproduction rate: 10/10 (I can keep doing it all day, it never works xD )

Steps to reproduce: Switching between window modes and resolution

Expected result: Resolution to change to the one selected

Observed result: Resolution defaults to 1024x768 regardless

System Specs: Intel Core i5 8400, Windows 10 Pro, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

Can you dm me a dxdiag of your system?

  • Type of Bug: Resolution in windowed fullscreen

  • Description: Cant change resolution outside of 1900 x 1080 in windowed fullscreen

  • Video / Screenshot:

When i force my monitor to a size and change resolution to the same: https://imgur.com/a/KawShgP

  • Steps to reproduce: Use windows fullscreen mode in video settings than pick a different resolution than 1920 x 1080 .

  • Expected result: the resolution should change to the selected resolution

  • Observed result: The resolution did not change to the selected resolution and stayed at 1920 x 1080

  • Reproduction rate: 7 out of 7

  • System specs: nvidia 1060 3gb,, i5 2500k(dont judge me), 144hz AOC monitor.

Windowed fullscreen will only run at your monitor's native resolution.

If you want to use a lower (or higher) resolution than your monitor's native resolution, use Fullscreen, or Windowed.

  • Type of Bug: Cant change my resolution cause it says that is Custom

  • Description: I had a resolution of 1280x960 streched and now i got a 1280x960 with black bars and i cant change for other resolution

  • Video / Screenshot: https://gyazo.com/0a155e0a8e923d82b08156b418ace6fc (i play in fullsreen i just put windowed to take the sreenshot)

  • Steps to reproduce: I dont know

  • Expected result: Change resolution our get my streched resoltion back

  • Observed result: Black bars and impossibility to change resolution

  • System specs: gtx 1070 i5 6500

Were you trying to force a stretched resolution? We do not support stretched resolution in VALORANT.

Please try restoring default settings - it doesn't even show a monitor selected in your screenshot, so I think you may have gotten the game into a bad state.

Yup! This is a bug which will be fixed in an upcoming patch, sorry about that!

Competitive integrity is really important, and we test to make sure that we aren't selling power with our cosmetic content. Sorry this one escape :(

Ah, this is a good one. This actually happened to me once as well, so there's a bug reported for it, but I'll add your info. Useful to know that it happened to you just walking in!
