There should be an option to upgrade in-game when you launch via the Steam client, but if that's not appearing correctly you can contact [email protected] and we can help you with a manual pack upgrade. :)

You can add an email to your account by navigating to your account page on the website, after which you'll be able to log into your existing account via Steam OR the standalone client, whichever you prefer. :)

Sure can! If your account is linked to Steam, launch Path of Exile through Steam, then 'J' to open the store. Purchasing points through the client when launched through Steam will use your Steam Wallet. :)
