Hey there! You will be able to combine microtransactions once the Mystery Box is no longer available to purchase, so you can pick up any individual piece you're missing and combine what you like. Alternatively, how it has worked in the past is that the combined microtransactions are added to the store, but are twice the price as the un-combined pieces (if they were the same price, it would be unfair to anyone who paid full price for two microtransactions to then combine them).For example, the Corsair Hood is 100 points, the Mystic Hood is 100 points, and the combined Spectre Hood is 200 points. That way if you were to get one piece of a combine-able pair, you can pick up the remaining half of the pair you need and combine them, or if it's more convenient or you didn't get half of a combine-able pair you wanted, you could just purchase the combined piece. :)
