Do earned Runecoins still go toward the charities or do they have to be bought?

Yes!!! All purchases with runecoins will go towards our charitable giving - no exceptions, and 100% of the value

malascus

I want to know the same,

I'll actually buy the cape if the runecoins go to the charities.

Then we'll be happy to accept your Runecoins :P

Chigzy

I'm not sure.

I had runecoins and I bought tokens in the event interface. I would assume they're going to the right people.

Your assumptions are correct!

Hello - whilst I can't comment on your experience, to my knowledge, National YMCA organisations are separate organisations.

With regard to the Jagex Charity partnership with the YMCA UK (as well as The Prince's Trust & CPSL Mind), this is specifically to fund mental health related work the YMCA do on a UK national basis - there are two links here to the campaigns we're helping to fund and support: http://www.ymca.org.uk/ http://www.findgetgive.com/ http://right-here-brightonandhove.org.uk/

More broadly, although these are UK based charities, with the universal theme of mental health support and awareness raising to remove the stigma associated with mental health, we're helping to promote key messages and campaigns through out social media and community interactions.

I hope this helps to clarify what Jagex is doing and supporting, and why - thanks for reading.

"Buy this MTX package for mental health! Also, "proceeds" will go to the charities, but we won't say what percentage of it. Oh also, we aren't giving a penny from our own money to them either."

Nice one Jagex. Nice one.

I can confirm that, as with every charity event we have run, that 100% of the revenue (or proceeds) is passed to our charity partners.

Is it??? When you see that we have over 47,000 followers for @jagexsupport, maybe that's not so absurd. Also, when we created that account, we realised that players were wanting to use twitter to ask questions, or get help - so we actively decided to have a presence on there. Whilst we cannot resolve account or payment queries on twitter (it could be anyone tweeting, and we always need to verify account ownership before talking about account details), we can certainly direct anyone needing assistance to the right area of the Support Centre for further help.

We decided to go where players were asking for help - a bit like on Reddit - there's an active player presence on here, so we regularly check it, and reach out to anyone needing help.

Our advice will always be to go to the Support Centre to check articles, or search for your issue (and the Support Centre is optimised for mobile devices), but we totally get that not everyone wants to do that in the first instance.

I know the...

Hey - I head up Player Support at Jagex, so just to clarify:

  • We provide Player Support 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Our core office hours are 8am to 10pm UK time
  • Over night, from 10pm to 8am UK time we have Player Support staff working from home, set up as if they were in the office, responding to queries, account recovery appeals, checking bug reports, player abuse reports, and importantly, checking that systems are operational, and escalating to Dev & Tech on call teams if there is a problem.
  • Specifically on Twitter, we monitor this during our core hours, with the assistance of Community Helpers, and we have ensured that the Community Helper volunteers are situated around the world, so there is help available on Twitter between 10pm & 8am UK time.

Your best option, always, is to visit the Support Centre and submit your query from there - contrary to the belief of some, twitter support is about signposting players to the support centre as we cannot resolve account queries over twitter d...

Hi - what are the character names of the accounts banned for botting?

Also, sounds like you might have logged into the wrong account if you feel your stats were reset - we do see this from time to time - this support centre article covers it: https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115003643269-Welcome-back-

Hey - if you go to the Support Centre, search Lost Items, you get this article: https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/209366569-Lost-Items

If you search 'hijack' there's also this article: https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207217595-Hijacked-account

In both cases, you can get the info you need, and a link to secure your account, within minutes, rather than have to wait 24-48 hours for a response.

We have designed the Support Centre to enable key info to be readily available, and provide links to the forms you need to utilise account recovery, self service 'fix it fast' solutions, or contact us if we can help.

In the past, when we had an open email address, we had over 14,000 emails we were unable to respond to, and the vast majority of those were from time wasters, or where players could use the self service options to sort their issue out quickly.

Best advice is to search on the Support Centre first, and we know that 90% of those who do that, find an answ...

Hi - contrary to what many say, it's easy to appeal a ban - head over to the Support centre: https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb, type 'ban' in the search box, you get this page: https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115002238729-Account-Bans, then follow the instructions :)

dreamgzer

This was done recently, no? I appealed a macro ban on my original account, any hope of getting it back? My current one is way better but i wouldnt mind playing both.

Ban Appeals have been live for about 15 months. If the offence was performed by a hijacker, we will remove the ban...if it was you, then the account will probably remain banned due to our firm stance against cheating

Hi - was it a bug report that you submitted - I can't see a ticket from you (assuming your RSN is Varsit4)

Varsit4

Hello Mod Kelvin, I navigated through the submit bug interface which then opended up the website which lead me to the lost item page - I here clicked on "I lost my items due to a technical issue or bug" which opended my mailclient and told me to send an email to [email protected] I can DM you the email I sent it from if needed (the one connected to my rsn)

After doing this, I also submitted a bug report just for the sake of it

Aah, OK - I'll take a look.

Hey, Mod Kelvin from Player Support here. I've had a look into your account and it appears that there's recently been some third party activity, so I've taken steps to secure it.

In order to recover your account and keep it secure in the future, please follow this link.

I can also see that you've sent us a ban appeal which is currently waiting in the queue, so one of the Player Support team will respond to this as soon as possible. :)

Hopefully this clears up any confusion regarding the ban on your account!

Has Jagex considered reallowing appeals after years have passed? I have an account that was permamuted 9 years ago, and I really want to start playing again, but I just don't want to bring a whole new account up from scratch.

I know a permamute is meant to be permanent, but I really feel like there should be an ability to at least appeal more than once. The system as it is seems really unfair and the response from Jagex dismissive/uncaring.

we do review historical bans periodically. However, pretty much all perm mutes are for extremely serious reasons, and are unlikely to be removed

Hey - most replies from Player Support are within 24 hours, though it can take 48 hours. A Jmod will reply soon enough to help you out, here

Kilam360

I tried on multiple occassion but when I do the recovery process it sends me an email legit 1min after saying it was denied. Is there perhaps a way to contact them directly?

the issue here, is that you'll need to go through the account recovery form to prove you're the original owner of the account - contacting Support will give you the same answer - however, you can try using this:

I then STRONGLY recommend that you look to migrate over to a Jagex Account - it's more secure, and account recovery much more straightforward than on the older RuneScape character system
