We're currently working on improvements and QoL additions to the thrall AI and follower systems that will aim to cover for most of that derpness and hopefully some more.
It'll not make it into the next big patch but will hopefully headline the next one after that.
I dunno, funcom was about to abandon the game. They are moving on to their new survival game in the dune universe. If someone else picks up the game at least you will see new content.
There were no plans to abandon the game before, there are no plans about that now either.

Anyone else having a problem when scrolling to the bottom of the blacksmith menu? First time I go In it’s fine next time it freezes and I can see what I’m on in the info but the box is empty and I can’t go down to the last few rows
We're aware of the issue and it's been fixed internally, to come within the next patch or two.
As addressed multiple times, we only ban in extreme circumstances (and undermeshing is currently not one of them). We prefer to address the exploit rather than the exploiter. Fixing an exploit addresses many current and future instances where it is abused. By just simply banning, only one is addressed, if hardly ever, and the issue remains to be exploited again. We do take certain actions when in evidence of some exploits, however, as some of you already witnessed in some servers.
We understand this current stance may be not sufficient for some players, which is why we would encourage to try out private servers, which normally offer more active, hands-on moderation.
For those of you currently experiencing exploiting, we'd like to once more remind you that you should get in touch with us with as much information as you can about the exploit in hand, so it can be properly relayed to and addressed by our team. Read morePeople can also go into First Person View mode, and swing a scythe to clip through doors and walls to be able to spam gather all through the walls. This has been in the game for a while.

We've briefly mentioned it in one of our latest streams, but we're planning to do a little work regarding that feature before enabling it again. No ETA yet.

Don't worry. We've been working to have the console parity patch release as soon as possible (this week!) along with a beefy patch for all platforms. No ETA on that one yet other than we're working on it :)
It is not a requirement anymore since March last year. Feeding them their favourite food now gives them useful buffs instead.

Does this include the changes to the player list? ie anonymous unless you use comms?
Those changes were added in the Wine Cellar update. We will enable those changes on official servers in the future, but not at this moment. We will communicate it in advance. Same with the follower cap.
When does the DLC go up so I can start being haughty and French.
Xbox and Ps storefronts have been updated and it should be available. Some regions might still show the DLC as unavailable, but it will be available in the upcoming hours.
On PC it will be available as soon as the patch is available on that platform. Which is in roughly in 20 minutes from now.
