Hello everyone,

Season Four is about to come to a close and we had many fun adventures including bringing Lifeweaver to the roster, falling into death pits on Talantis, taking part in intergalactic battles with Starwatch, and finally celebrating inclusivity and being who you are with our first Pride celebration. We’re finishing up the season with a double XP event, starting now until the season ends on June 12.

During the Double XP event, your accumulated match XP from each match played will be doubled. Please note any XP rewarded for completing challenges, bonus XP for participating in flex queue or impacted roles in Role Queue, and any XP rewards from endorsements are not multiplied during bonus XP weekends. When you receive double XP for your matches played, you should see the total number of XP after each match be higher than normal. However, the end-of-game Battle Pass screen will not indicate the amount that is multiplied.

By the command of Galactic Emperor Sigma, players who log on and play Overwatch 2 will be able to earn TRIPLE XP throughout the weekend, including those who fight for the Infinite Empire in Starwatch: Galactic Rescue and stop the Watchers from rescuing their beloved droid.

During Triple XP Weekend, your accumulated match XP from each match played will be tripled. Hello everyone, our Quality Assurance team is looking for more information to help identify these crashes. To help, please consider providing us with a DxDiag file in a reply

1. Press Windows Key + R.
2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
4. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save.
5. Open the file in Windows Notepad, then press Ctrl+A to select all text, then Ctrl+C to copy all text to the clipboard.
6. Start a new reply, and type two sets of four squiggly lines and then place the cursor in between and press Ctrl+V to paste the Contents in a code block. Example:

Hey everyone!

We fixed a bug that had allowed players using Sigma to glitch the channeling of his Gravitic Flux, allowing Sigma to fly around the map unrestricted. This included doing so in matches with other players, and account actions were issued for those players found to be activating the bug. After further investigation, we came to understand that some of those we suspended likely didn’t deliberately exploit the bug with the intent to win. As a result, we’ve now reversed most of these actions, with only those who were deliberately attempting to win utilizing the bug remaining actioned.

Sigma is now available again to play in all modes, including Competitive Play.

Hey everyone, while this bug is hilarious, we are going to be working to fix it as fast as possible. In the meantime, we are disabling Sigma from Competitive Play, but you can still use him in Unranked and Arcade modes including the new Starwatch: Galactic Rescue mode. Please note, do not deliberately attempt to trigger the bug even in these modes as it may not be fair for everyone else in the lobby. (See our Blizzard In-Game Code of Conduct for details.)

New Event - Starwatch: Galactic Rescue

• Battle for the fate of the galaxy in this new four-point Assault mode. Side with the Watcher rebels alongside the mighty Bonebreaker to rescue 3CH-0 from the Infinite Galactrius starship. Or serve the Infinite Empire and use the starship’s security systems to defend against the intruders. Your choice will decide the fate of the galaxy, for whichever side wins more battles by the end of the event will reign supreme!

Hey there everyone, we have been tracking this issue and working to get it corrected. Apologies for any leaver penalties, but I do have a workaround for the interim. Each time you log onto Overwatch 2, please take a moment to load into the Practice Range. Once you successfully load into the Practice Range, you can leave it and queue for any game mode, but be sure to do this each time you log in to be safe. For more details check out our known issues list in the Bug Report channel.

Lifeweaver’s Controls & Options have been changed, with a new default control scheme added:

• Rejuvenating Dash has been moved from Ability 1 to Jump while in the air
• Petal Platform has been moved from Secondary Fire to Ability 1
• Petal Platform can now be manually destroyed with the Ability 1 input
• Secondary Fire will now automatically swap to the Thorn Volley weapon and fire it, and while Thorn Volley is equipped, Primary Fire will weapon swap back to Healing Blossom and begin charging
• Added a new Hero Option: “Use Manual Weapon Swap Control Scheme” which reenables the original control scheme ...

Viewership rewards on YouTube only work when a rewards-eligible live broadcast is running (which has not yet started this season). So that explains why you are not seeing the icon at this time.

Sepheron64 is correct. To be specific, a team needs to have 1 minute or more with the other team with absolutely no time remaining. If both teams have any amount of time remaining, or if the team with time remaining has less than a minute, both teams get to attack again.

This rule also applies to the Assault map type when it used to appear in Competitive Play, which was more common to happen.

Season four of Competitive Play is here!

Competitive Play is designed for those players who want to put their skills to the test and offers a more serious experience than our Quick Play or Arcade Modes. Players new to Overwatch 2 will unlock access to Competitive Play when they complete the Competitive Play Qualification challenge by winning 50 unranked games.

GETTING STARTED

Before you can kick off your competitive career, every player will be required to win seven games to obtain their seasonal skill division in their choice of role in Role Queue or playing Open Queue. Within the standard Role Queue competitive mode, players will earn a separate skill division for each role in Competitive Play, for a total of three distinct skill divisions. Greetings, Overwatch 2 Workshop creators!

With the launch of Season Four comes a variety of new Projectile tools to use in your custom games! Whether you want to give your heroes extra firepower, or add new dangerous obstacles to maps, you will be able to do so with these new scripts in the Workshop.

Creating Projectiles

You can now spawn projectiles as an action that can travel based on parameters you set, including direction, duration, speed, projectile size, and gravity. Projectiles can either damage, heal, or trigger other events you are able to script in your custom game. If you activate the Projectiles Extension, you can even select the appearance of projectiles from existing Overwatch 2 Hero abilities, such as Pharah’s rockets.

Greetings heroes!

Overwatch 2 Season 4 is just around the corner, and this will be a substantial update featuring the new Support hero, Lifeweaver, and a galactic-packed season which you can read in our blog here. This patch will also be a “rebase” patch which will require a very large download for all players on all platforms. Rebase patches consolidate our patches into the core game, which in the long run, keeps the final data size of the game client manageable for both PC and console.

You will need to have as much as 38 GB of free space on your system when updating. If you do not have that much space, you can also uninstall the game client and reinstall it in full. We understand some of our players may have limited bandwidth or data to download large updates, and we apologize for any inconvenience that this causes you. Thank you for your understanding, and we’ll see you on April 11!
