In all seriousness, we know that the story can be quite hidden and as Episode 3 has two additional narrative stories we thought it's a good time to recap.

You're always going to have people complain. Personally I don't think "people complained" is a valid justification for not paying attention to what people are being most vocal about. This SotG would have made more sense in a week where you hadn't just finished telling us for two weeks how you're essentially remaking the core of the game. Respectfully, it's just a strange time to expect this subject to be received well.

People can totally complain about the show and that they feel it wasn't satisfying. We are making sure to give you guys a heads-up on what the topic of the State of the Game is, either on the show itself but definitely on the announcement tweet on Tuesday.

We understand that the current way of communicating about Episode 3 is not very clear for everybody and that's something we constantly bring up with all other teams that are involved in these processes.

OP's post says not this week, and not the last week of February. That either gives us the week of 17-21, or it's getting delayed to March?

That's actually not true for all players. We discussed this quite extensively with players and internally. A lot of commenters have said they want us to be there and talk about the game, even if it's not brand new info. We understand not everybody feels the same way, so we always try to announce the topic of the show a day before on Twitter, so people who don't care about a specific part can skip the show if they want to.

I mean that's literally why I replied to you. :D I'm reading the comments here and I've been reading the comments about us doing State of the Game only when we have big news. A lot of the decisions on community communication are made with player feedback in mind.

Last year we skipped a couple of weeks with State of the Game and players told us that's also not what they want. We can't make everybody happy, obviously, but we think this works best for most in the community and for us.

We did! As announced last week and yesterday on Twitter. We knew that today's show would not be popular with everybody and letting you guys know what we're talking about early on should hopefully set some expectations.

Ok am I the only one that noticed Hamish say something along the lines of "I can't wait to the new dark zone its gonna be awesome"??? At 42:18 while they show the flamethrower gameplay.

Rewound it several times and it def sounds like he said that. Later on they realise there was no gameplay audio.

Edit: 42:18, not the 48th minute.

Hamish read a comment in chat saying "Can't wait to see this in the Dark Zone" and then added himself "Me too, it's going to be cool."

Off-topic question: The cleaners are only available to fight in those two new york missions right???

Just asking to see if thats a new faction thats been added into the base game content, or are they just guest for those two missions only.

For now they're still New York based, yes. We do see a lot of comments about shaking up missions and adding different factions to it to make them feel a little more "random". So, the door is not closed but it would be something for a future update.

As said on stream, it was a dev build and the numbers you've seen might not be representative for the final build.

I used matchmaking to complete all 3 missions and the game said chapel is unlocked, but the door remained closed. Redid all 3 in story mode as me as the host and it unlocked. Apparently it doesn’t unlock if we do the missions for the first time via matchmaking and in other difficulties higher than Story.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. I heard TU7 last week and just rolled with it lol. And the whole title update/episode thing kind of confuses me sometimes.

We choose a pretty poor way to name our updates right off the bat and now we're stuck with it, so don't worry I didn't want to call you out or anything. We make it confusing. ^{^}

Nothing has been scheduled or communicated as of this post. Since Episode 3 and Gear 2.0 is on the horizon, they are probably busy with those tasks.

That sums it up pretty well. As was also mentioned in this thread the mode is more of a side project, so updates will likely only come some time after Episode 3. I don't have any info on what will be changed as of now but we'll keep you in the loop.

Just want to say we do ban cheaters regularly and are working with Easy Anti Cheat when somebody reports new cheats to us. That doesn't mean we know all cheats or cheaters, so videos, time of day you encountered them, where and on what platform helps a lot.

Not gonna lie, I kind of wish they'd push back Episode 3 until TU8 drops. Imagine an update with 2 new missions, a new PVE game mode, a new PVP game mode (which they still haven't confirmed either of those new modes yet, but fingers crossed), new specialization, new exotics, new weapons and gear, new apparel event, revamped gear, revamped skills, more activities in the DZ. I would drop $20 at least for an update like that.

EDIT: Correction, TU8, not TU7.

Just to clarify some terminology. Episode 3 is Title Update 7. We're currently on Title Update 6.1. An update after EP3 / TU7 would be TU8.

It's a minor thing but as we're going to talk about EP3 this week I just want to make sure players have the correct information at hand.

We don't know yet, I think. It's likely that we need to adjust more Specializations and we have a lot of feedback for other areas, e.g. weapon damage and so on.

It's a good question, maybe we can get something in a Q&A video for one of the upcoming shows.
