/u/chris_wilson - when you say " When you log in each day you will now receive..." does that mean these missions do not get accumulated if you are offline for multiple days?
Yes, you do have to log in to receive the missions for a day. We have switched back and forth on this for several weeks, but the plan is that if there are five missions being given per day, it does require a login to trigger it.
As you know, unused daily master missions in 3.8.0 can stack indefinitely during the league. Alongside this change, we reduced the number you get to two per day, because prior to 3.8.0, most players ended up not running every daily mission they received every day, and so many were wasted.
We were trying to make it so that the number of missions was the same as before for most players. We didn't see this as an intentional nerf because the system is now so much more permissive than before.
Either way, feedback on Reddit about this change was negative and we didn't feel strongly about it, so are changing it based on this feedback. When you log in each day, you will now receive a daily mission for each of the five masters.
Read moreI looked into this just now. So in order to make the character stand out against a dark background, a light glow is often added around the silhouette. In this case it looks way too much like a real character effect and is absolutely misleading. We will correct the images immediately.
If you bought the packs based on the assumption that it looks like this and really want your money back, then [email protected] can facilitate a refund for you. I am very sorry about the inconvenience that this has caused, and we will make sure that it is not misleading in the future.
Read moreThe changes to the numerical model (where there are fewer depths required to get to the equivalent of red maps) applies to all leagues.
The products I am discussing people comparing are our 4.0.0 mega-expansion and whatever unannounced game they are working on.
Fun fact; 12 tiers for 5 different oils, so 60 basic components to mix in combinations of 3, amounts to a total 34220 possible combinations if the order they are added in is not a factor and a combination cannot have duplicates otherwise its upwards of 200k and only 13 correct ones. Knowing GGG this might be intentional, though I speculate they will be some obvious combos like 3 of same t12 oil of the 5 specific types etc.
Or it will get datamined ¯\(ツ)/¯Edit- Cleared up,read comment below.

As colours can be repeated and order doesn't matter. Every combination maps onto something.
You're welcome, and we're always reading, even if too busy to reply to everything.
That's the formula for no repetition... if you want to use the same oil 2-3x, the formula is (n+r-1)!/r!(n-1)! = 14! / 3!(11!) = 364

Followon question, does this mean depth 500 in the new league will be reasonably similar in difficulty and rewards to what 569 is now?
Yeah I believe so
There are some Raider buffs in the patch notes, and we'll highlight them in the balance manifesto also. On the announcement page we just focused on the ascendancies that were getting the largest changes.
Check out our official announcement of Blight here and the trailer here.
Many journalists have posted their coverage already, with a lot of new information. Here's a list that we'll update as new articles appear!
We're actually posting a manifest about Legion's integration into the game later today. I don't think you have to worry about it being nerfed like Breach.
So one of the coolest things about working at GGG is getting to listen to music from future expansions. Jonathan and I went over to his house a few weeks ago, put some unreleased music on and just sat there listening to it for ages. It was amazing.
Great feedback. It wasn't intended for Cyclone to be quite as strong as it is, but a number of factors contributed. We strongly try to avoid mid-league nerfs once people have made characters, so we decided to let it play out for Legion. Don't be too worried about the implied nerf from the last sentence. Ideally, in 3.8.0, Cyclone will still be a great skill to pick but you'll certainly be far more likely to consider others as alternatives.
Sorry for the slow reply to this thread, I'm travelling overseas and didn't see it quickly.
I am very concerned about the level of crashes on console platforms and am making sure there are a lot of resources allocated to fixing this. Our 3.7.2 patch (which is scheduled for deployment possibly as soon as tomorrow) should fix a large portion of these and we'll keep hitting the others as fast as we can.
I am very sorry about the frustration with this stuff. We don't launch releases aware of technical issues, and try to work quickly to resolve them once they happen.
Unfortunately some problems only occur when you throw a few million real players at something. To do the best we could without having an Alpha realm containing all of our players, we ran extensive load-testing with bots on a test server before Legion's launch. This helped make sure that our servers would be stable (which they have been), but didn't find specific client/instance crashes that only come up in real play activity until they actually happened. The time between a crash being reported and being fixed is as fast as it ever has been, and we're trying to improve this process to make it faster.
Two issues affected the trade API/site. The first was resolved early in the league, and the second was earlier resolved. I have been told that things are good now, but haven't been able to test it myself because I am currentl...
Read moreThe hotfix we just deployed should fix almost all of the above issues. The other ones (some of which are not patch regressions but are just general problems) are being investigated at the moment.
God damn, this is getting frustrating. I know they're trying and I appreciate the efforts, but it's like they don't test anything.
I understand that it is frustrating. This patch was fully "green" with everything tested and working. This certainly prompts some serious questions about why that was the status if there are then issues with the deployed version. I will make sure this is understood and whatever went wrong doesn't affect future patches.
