I would initially suggest this is a message where a child lock or parental lock has been placed on an account, though in some cases it can also appear for other things too.
Your EA account and Xbox account may have become unlinked, you could try fixing that yourself with steps here.

Bit concerned about the 'lose all your progress' remark. Could you give me some context?
Your progression is saved online, it's on our servers and therefore cannot really be lost - only when our stat servers are having issues, but it usually comes right back within a couple of hours.
Let me know, have you tried contacting support too?
Less toxicity in the world is always a good thing, be warm towards one another, who knows you may even get a friend out of it too. Someone might have been having a bad day, that message might have brightened it up a little.

It’s not exactly deleted but I got the game on my stepdads account and he left and took everything with him so it’s tied to his account so I’ve had to start again on my own account unfortunately

Thanks for the effort placed in putting all of this together, i'll go through it and pass things onto the team as best as I can. Let's be honest, no game will ever be bug free, that's a tall feat to achieve. But it's lists like these and the reports placed on Answers HQ that help us work towards that.

Edit: actually no I’m an idiot I’ve got the physical disc copy of the game. So I can’t uninstall can I? Or am I being really dumb?
You're still able to uninstall the game from your hard drive, make sure your game is out of the PS4 before doing so, but push options and then go to 'delete'. Reinsert your disc and it'll start up the process of installation again.
