There is an updated version of that image, which I have attached. Most things however didn't change.
Extinction achievements triggering despite species not being extinct is a known bug.
Originally posted by Ranix: that is not a good idea as it greatly harms discoverability of the feature for no benefitWe think it is, on multiplayer servers it has been common that people settle with a come-first mentality within the first view minutes on the best oil fields, despite oil drilling being far away and no realistic means to actually detect oil technically being present. This has caused a gameplay state that is not desirable and prefers people that had the time to join the server at the first second. It also removes any sort of incentive to interact with others and potentially buy their property. You will find similar functionality in other games, like Civilization as well, by the way.If you are not happy with it, however, you can easily disable it in Balance.eco. :)
We however have purposefully decided on that after taking lots of feedback in regard to it into account and there is no reason to reconsider at this point.

Originally posted by Duke Tyrag: this post is obsolete. there is no oilfield option in the mapThat is incorrect, it is just hidden by default now as long as oil drilling has not been researched on the server. You can turn that off in Balance.eco.

That's a database corruption which cannot be fixed, you can either restore a backup or delete the .db file of your savegame (or keep it running corrupted), but in all cases without restoring backup your statistics (used for laws) will be broken.
It started off by telling him he cant visit me now because dad said so. Aka Trump banned travel from Germany to America for 30 days. He starts ranting how he's a horrible person. So I told him I'm a registered Democrat, but he's not half bad since he got us out of the wars. He didn't like my oppinon and wanted me to hate him with all my American might. Then the conversation went onto global warming. And I stated that the melting of the ice was releasing methane to a point we're screwed, he didn't like that and said he wrote papers stating it wasn't true. Then I told him that advances in technology will soon make oil obsolete, oh he definitely didn't like that either. Then guys getting off for the night, being 1030pm est, he wanted to blame on our conversation...
I feel ashamed for my fellow countryman, please take my apology for the whole of Germany.
(Though i may halfway agree about trump, i don't think he is a horrible person, just a clown that makes us laugh.)
Depends totally on if the server has any rules published. (Even if it's "you can't disagree with the admin" - then you know from the beginning, what you are into) I know the issue from the other side of the table, a lot of players insist on everything being admin abuse that they don't like. Hence i've years ago started writing my server rules in professional law manner, stating punishments for each violation and link people to there. I'll judge them like any judge in real life and remind them of if they would talk to a local court judge like that after he was convicted. They get the right to appeal as well, just as irl. But debating decisions in the game is a simple no-go, you wouldnt do that in the court room either if you are at least a somewhat sane person.
In general i strongly believe that the normal admin invests a hell lot of time and money into their servers and has the right to set the rules for the servers. (And we actually actively encourage that, because the best server o...
