We are now flying at full speed through the CSM election season and Anger Games 5. In the past two weeks we have seen several candidates going out there and giving interviews on your platforms as well as being interviewed on CCPTV[www.twitch.tv]. The first weekend of the Anger Games 5 concluded last weekend and the organizers of Anger Games 5 will return this weekend on CCPTV with another amazing weekend of brawls.




In the last Beat[www.eveonline.com] we talked a little bit about what the CSM is and for this week we will take a closer look at the campaign so far. Multiple Character Training (MCT) has been refurbished fresh for 2022. An MCT is a convenient way for you to train an alternative character without losing time on your main and without the hassle of a second account!

When you purchase Multiple Character Training through the EVE Store[secure.eveonline.com], you'll receive a certificate that will enable an additional character on that account to train at the same time! This means less time juggling accounts, and training queues, and an easy way to start training the alternative character that you’ve always planned to make.

With these new updates to MCT, you are able to purchase packs of MCT in 1, 2, 3, 6, 12, or 24 increments, just like with Omega! This adds more convenience and eliminates the worry about when your training expires. Note that MCT binds to your account and cannot be traded on the market in EVE.

As part of setting EVE up forever, we remain committed to delivering continual improvements that make EVE the most beautiful and immersive sci-fi game. Some of those changes are now available on the Singularity test server[community.eveonline.com], while others will be added over the next few weeks.


Several visual and audio updates are available to experience on Sisi, including high-resolution nebulas, improvements to cloud visuals and audio in certain areas of space. Engine sounds are also getting an update and rebalance, in particular for other ships than your own. Additionally, an update to texture compression and packing will enable you to experience every asset in the game - including these updated elements - with higher visual fidelity than ever before, and with minimal impact on client performance.

With the return of the Anger Games now underway, the next round of Abyssal Proving Grounds action is dedicated to the beloved community-run tournament[www.eveonline.com].What does that mean? This time 1V1 cruiser combat comes with a hot-headed twist. Democratically minded Capsuleers!

Over the last couple of weeks, we have reviewed all the CSM applications to ensure that they meet the outlined guidelines and eligibility requirements[community.eveonline.com]. We initially made a commitment this round of aiming to have a 72-hour turnaround for applicants this term. We acknowledge that we didn’t hit that number as close as we’d hoped with every single applicant due to a combination of issues surrounding both Fanfest and COVID-19 illness across the team, but we did still get the bulk of the applications confirmed in record time.

To give a summary and reminder of the timeline for upcoming CSM17 key dates:

• 9 May – 20 May – Application Processing

The Anger Games returns to EVE in its fifth iteration! This community-ran PvP tournament kicks off on 28 May with 32 teams going head-to-head in a double elimination 7v7 arena format. In double elimination, losing teams drop to a lower bracket, fighting to stay in for a chance to win. If you’re a fan of tournament PvP then you don’t want to miss this as it kicks off this Saturday at 17:00 UTC!

You can watch the Anger Games over on CCP TV[www.twitch.tv] so don’t miss out on your chance to see it live with thousands of other spectators. Every team will be playing on the first night (Saturday) and on Sunday. Lucky teams will play on towards a gripping final on 12 June at 19:00 UTC. The Council of Stellar Management elections are in full swing! The CSM is a unique institution where some of EVE’s most passionate players partake in democratic elections to work closely with CCP to provide player insights and shape the future of New Eden. CSM 16 have done a remarkable job this year, but as their terms come to an end it’s time for a new batch of candidates to take up the mantel. Fanfest 2022 has reached its conclusion, and we couldn’t have dreamed of a better event to reunite our community after too many years apart.

Bringing together so many of the EVE community in-person provided a very special opportunity to catch-up, share memories of the stories we’ve made and played together in New Eden, and get enthused about what is becoming a very exciting future for EVE Online. Fanfest may have ended, but there’s a lot to look forward to in New Eden!

Following on from the crazy adventure that was Fanfest 2022, the team is eager to get the latest Photon UI[www.eveonline.com] updates released for you to try. The May release has dozens of bug fixes and improvements based on your feedback. Here are just a few of those changes:

• Chat update notifications return.
• A new tabbed window header in select windows, utilizing header space better.
• Inactive windows are more serene.
• Animated grain texture removed.
• Tab highlights are more balanced.
• Lots and lots of bug fixes!

That’s not all, though. The June release is starting to take shape, too, with the headline feature being a compact UI mode for select windows in Photon UI. Make sure you check it out as it’s shaping up to be the modern UI EVE needs as it marches towards the third decade!

Siege Green is live now on Tranquility! This incredible update brings sweeping changes to faction ship, battleship, and capital production with a major focus on dreadnoughts. Starting today, you can look forward to vastly reduced material costs when building these machines of war.

Speaking of the destructive might of dreadnoughts, further changes have arrived for Upwell structures across New Eden. All structures have now had their shield damage cap removed, letting you bash through the shield more quickly than ever before and leading to bigger fights over more meaningful timers

Medium structures have seen an update, too, with the Astrahus, Athanor, and Raitaru now having their hull reinforcement timer removed. This means you only need to come back once to destroy these low-value structures in one big do-or-die battle.

EVE’s 19th birthday is upon us, and you can now celebrate Capsuleer Day XIX in New Eden with an exciting new challenge!

While CONCORD enforces order, a shadowy network of smugglers has begun to spread its influence across New Eden. Starting today until 24 May, Capsuleers are tasked with infiltrating the smugglers’ sites, but can expect twists and turns along the way.


New combat and hacking sites are appearing all over New Eden, and CONCORD will reward Capsuleers who take the fight to the smugglers!



You can use scanner probes to discover the Smuggler Dead Drop hacking sites, and then confiscate their loot using your Data Analyzer modules.

The event combat sites are accessible to any combat ships of battlecruiser size or smaller. The best ships to use are Tech I combat battlecruisers, heavy assault cruisers, strategic cruisers, or command ships.
