We wanted to share an update about a recent behind-the-scenes change we’ve made to improve your experience in Apex Legends.

As a long-term investment in the tech powering Apex, we’ve officially migrated our game servers to Amazon GameLift Servers. This partnership gives us more flexibility to identify and address issues across regions, ultimately helping us deliver a more consistent experience over time.

It’s worth noting that every player's connection is unique, and no single change will affect everyone the same way. But this move gives us stronger tools to dig into specific problem areas and, where possible, make improvements.

One early sign of progress: we've seen a noticeable drop in game server performance degradation, things like rubberbanding and hit registration issues. Post-migration, matches experiencing these issues have decreased. While this impacts a relatively small percentage of total matches, it's a meaningful step forward.

To celebrate the move and thank you for b...

We just pushed an update to address the following issues:

  • Pathfinder missing the correct Heirloom sprint animation
  • Clipping on weapons that was occurring when using the Birthright Valkyrie Skin
  • Parts of Voidsprinter Octane being visible when getting revived while cloaked
  • Audio from the Caustic Treatment POI being heard across the map
  • The game freezing when clicking "Exit to Desktop" or closing via Alt+F4

Armed & Dangerous. AKA Shotguns & Snipers. Wingman moved to using sniper ammo in S14, so would have been included in the available floor loot for any post-S14 play of A&D. It was BR LTM. Wingman wouldn't have been in the first edition of A&D in S5 when it was still a heavy, but it was in the S17 variant.

To continually improve your gameplay experience, we've migrated Apex Legends servers to Amazon Web Services. We'll be closely monitoring performance over the coming weeks and we'll share updates as we gather more insights.

See you in the Outlands!

ICYMI: we've started posting more of our regular status updates from Twitter both in this subreddit and on our reddit profile as well.

We wanted to give a quick update on teaming and share some additional insights about our continued efforts. Player numbers can fluctuate, so we look at the overall percentage of players reporting teaming. This chart displays a decrease in teaming reports over the past several months.

Team Reports & Bans: August 2024-February 2025

Teaming (when multiple teams collude during a match for a shared goal) concentrates in higher Ranked matches. Overall, there were less than 0.005 teaming reports per unique player in Feb 2025. The 65% drop from the peak shows that our efforts are having a positive impact in both teaming reports and instances that are automatically detected. There’s still work to do and we’ll continue to investigate new ways to address this issue for further noticeable improvements.

In a previous update, we shared that we were working on a new feature for reporting that would provide you with an update when your report has had an impact. We're happy to announce that this i...

Fair enough. Just wanted to make sure you knew they were there somewhere in match. Totally get your request as being distinct from that.

Do you know that they are in the mini map screen?

Cheers, keep us posted!

We book the two hour window with the team to answer questions, but with all comms they generally have to go through some checks before they can go live. Tis a good callout though and we can look at ways to make this tighter so answers can get out faster.

Not related to matchmaking, but we are looking to host an AMA for anti-cheat (smurfing incl) soon.

The team touched on Masters/Preds a bit here. Anti-cheat is a separate team, but we're looking at an AMA to cover these questions soon.
