So if you bought Donskoi and then moved to the Tier X you sold her and got all the gains from grinding through the Donskoi (FXP, Credits, ETC.).

So this makes sense, since the Donskoi is part of the new LIGHT cruiser line. We stated this MONTHS back when we announced this line split.
