Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Dev Tracker

Komatik

Hard, sure. Insanely? Not really.

It is insanely hard for me and I have thousands of hours (albeit as a dev) in the game. For me it is insanely difficult but I wouldn't say I'm "great" at the game by any means. Cataclysm is way harder than legend though

We recently made a change that allow you to play weaves with bots aswell as a few tweaks. It's still hard as nails so if you're thinking of jumping in I would suggest being really deep into the main game before trying it out

Back to Ubersreik contains three missions (and a hidden one) and 5 new weapons. Winds of Magic contains the weave game mode with 40 separate smaller missions spread out over 160 different challenges (that you can play with bots) with a unique weapon customization system , one adventure mission, 5 new weapons, an insanely hard difficulty and a new enemy faction.

Whether a DLC is worth it to you or not I will leave to the community

I wait for them to fully come out, then use the skill, right after I lose all the skeletons.
Army of the Dead makes it so when you use your ability, it spawns 12 skeletons. 6 are permanent, 6 are temporary.
If you use it again, the 6 permanent ones die and you summon 12 new ones, but the 6 temporary ones stay, meaning you are now at 18. Use it again before the original 6 expire, and you get to 24. It otherwise works exactly the same and basically takes 1 less use of a career skill to complete the challenge than before. Read more
Few things are constant among the Skaven, but their scheming and plotting is one of them. While our Heroes may have foiled Rasknitt, there’s plenty other vermin are eager to hatch their own devious plans. The farsqueaker, a verminous piece of Skryre engineering, allows some of these would-be masterminds to instantly communicate across vast distances with their networks of agents and spies.

I am much pleased with your timely report, Skratch, and heartened by the news of your many successes. The minions I placed in your unworthy paws are clearly moderately capable. Use them well, Skratch. Do not think-think you are my only proxy in the Grey Mountains. Just because I plucked you from your runtish litter as a whelp, it will not displease me too greatly to have to devour you should you fail. I will start at the tail end, yes-yes, and work my way up from there.
The situation in Karak Gnol is more chaotic even than that which you left behind. My predecessor (may he la... Read more

That's amazing. Great job!

On PC we store the prologue status in your local save data so when switching PC the save get reset. The save only include your settings aswell as your prologue status so all your progress and inventory is safe.

This is not intended. It fell through the cracks when we did our rework of weaves. I will fix this immediately and it will be included in the next patch. Sorry about that.

Do you hear me, master?
The cretinous cog-brained tinker-fool who claims to be master of this farsqueaker contraption insists you can hear me even if I cannot hear you. Something to do with power still bleeding from the failed Skittergate and the great-great mass of this mountain above our heads. For myself, I think-think he must squeak less and work harder. Maybe then his farsqueaker machine will have the power he claims it should.
Excuse me one moment, most patient of potentates. I must supply one quick-quick zap of warplightning to the minions…

The playerbase isn't as large as on steam and most people on xbox play on champion/legend difficulty. I'll let the community tell you if it's worth it or not for you. I would say the quslity of the game is at least on par though

The bot priority bug is on me. It is fixed internally but we haven't had the time to patch just yet because of the versus beta. Sorry about that

On consoles there is an option to play completely offline (no xbox live/psn+ requirement). The online data and offline data are separated. Whenever you play online we mirror all online progress in your save file so if you want replace/update your offline data with your current online data there is an option for that when choosing offline mode. This is mostly for players that have been playing online for a while but having their psn+/xbox live subscription lapse for whatever reason so they can continue playing at the same progress level if that make sense

What is Versus? Versus is an upcoming free new Game mode for Warhammer: Vermintide 2! It’s an asymmetrical PvP+E experience pitting up to 4 Heroes against our AI enemies and up to 4 special players, what we call Pactsworn. A match will take place over several rounds, with each team swapping places between playing the Heroes and the Pactsworn each round. To simplify, each round consists of the Hero team playing a regular game akin to Adventure mode, while the Pactsworn players have to stop them.

Heroes and Pactsworn,
Hi my name is Joakim Setterberg and I’m the Design Director on Vermintide 2. In this devblog I want to talk about Versus’ upcoming Beta August Test - or BAT - coming August 21st. With the BAT we’re wrapping up most of the larger systems and features of the core game mode. With a few exceptions, our main focus up to release will be to work with surrounding systems and refining the content, to polish the Versus experience and, to quote the team, “fix the jank”.
First, a note on feedback. For every test we do we collect as much of your feedback as possible to find out what we can improve and fix. We sort it, rank it, and talk about what we want to accomplish for the next test. Sometimes there’s a straight-forward way to solve a problem or to implement a suggestion, but other times we’ll go in a slightly different direction, if we believe a problem lies elsewhere. That takes us to our two big features we’re introducing for the BAT: the Pactsworn Horde ability and matc... Read more

Honestly, I'm more excited to see new weapons, new campaign and a new balance for careers. I think versus is a complete different animal, it's just not for my taste.

We haven't forgotten our core ;)

Hello! Yes, I can confirm that this issue has been fixed. We should not expect ridiculously large patch sizes at all in the future.
In general, we should expect that most hotfixes will be a few MB in size. Big patches can be up to around 4 to 5 GB but will be less than that on average. No more 25+ GB patches, for sure! fingers crossed

20 is correct, its also reduced by damage reduction
In normal CW, it also does 20 damage
The mini barrels from the boon cause this, they arent considered "friendly fire" so they will do 80 damage (without damage reduction) and 4 of them means you take 320HP worth of damage, even a full health Unchained (50% DR) couldnt survive all 4 barrels (which would be 160HP damage)
So that it oneshot anyone and they were at least half health, makes sense
The lit barrel from the orb is always considered "someones" barrel (as it is affected by the FF reduction)
And if you hit any of the little barrels (they are automatically lit after the main barrel explodes so only 1 hit is needed) they ALL explode instantly, so that is likely what happened in your case, what seemed like a sin...

Bots copy the Hero Power of the host, but their equipped gear's properties & traits does affect them. So if you have a bot with a sword with +10% power vs Chaos, the bot will copy the host's hero power and then get a power bonus when hitting chaos stuff.
Bots are also affected by the talents they have equipped normally.

Bogenhafen chests only have one item IIRC. They will always give you cosmetics but they should be pretty rare since we reworked the bogenhafen cosmetics to be obtainable from the store using shillings instead
