Hey there! The MMR rollback system is designed to lessen the impact of cheaters on your rank over the long term. If you play with a cheater, you lost the MMR you received from that match so that it's like the game never happened. On the flip side, if you play against a cheater, you regain the lost MMR. This is meant to ensure your rank at the end of the season is only from legitimate matches! You can find more info here!
I haven't noticed anything with my game recently, but I haven't been on since yesterday. If you still have trouble with your game crashing, I would recommend making a post on the Support Forums!

Hey there! Currently, Control Points don’t get taken over unless an Invasion is happening, or a Manhunt Target takes over a zone. There are plans for a way to manually reset them when you change your global difficulty in a future patch. We'll share more news when details become available!

The renown penalty ends when the ban expires! So you will be able to gain the normal amount of renown once the sanction ends.
