The server launched on 08/11, so 5 weeks are due on 09/15. Then they announced that they would extend for 1 week moving the event ending to 09/22, but last week's maintenance notes said:

I see where the confusion lies, and it's an improper use of phrasing on my part with the word 'extension'.

In all seriousness, @Tokyois correct. Our attendance event was intended for fresh players on a fresh journey in a fresh new Lineage II game. We extended a week due to the issues that those players experienced with the latency/lag/crashes on Blackbird. The attendance event was not meant to be run indefinitely.
