Hi, can you tell us the cause of this when you know it, please? It's incredibly interesting from technical point of view and I bet many players would appreciate it the same way as those closer-look dev blogs. Thank you!

The newspost has some info on this :)

Hi all, wanted to put this thread up to let you know we've seen your reports, initially about vorkath and now many other pieces of content.

That twitter thread will contain the most up to date information, but basically, we're going to reboot all game worlds shortly to address this.

Apologies for all the inconvenience caused, and we're really sorry about the short notice for this.

I wouldn't want to see either return as they were, but I think both could be used in some way.

Shooting Stars would be the easiest to adapt. I'd remove some of the locations to focus more on actual mines rather than places like the middle of Yanille (no one mines Pure Ess...). But the main change I'd want is to remove the daily cap and just rescale the exp and rewards so it would be reasonable to do non-stop for an hour. Also, I agree about just getting the loot from the center rather than using the stardust system; I'd probably focus reward more on ores based on mining level than stuff like runes.

Evil Tree I'd change a bit more drastically. I don't think it worked as well to randomly pop up around the world, but I do think the activity was fun. I'd rework it into more of Woodcutting skilling boss than a diversion. I had a concept a while back for an evil tree-inspired boss in the Kharazi Jungle, but perhaps other locations might work better.

The Army Axe I'm not as sure about. I do like the idea of a multi-tool earned in pieces like a totem, but I'd rather it be a new OSRS item rather than copying the RS2 tool. I mean a "Dwarven Army Axe" does sound a bit out of place for OSRS. Perhaps instead there could be special equipable tools gained from different activities, then something like a skilling boss could drop an item that you could use to merge them all together into one tool. It would work similar, but with each part being useable on their own to give a better progression across more content.

Love seeing stuff like this, seriously well thought out feedback on how we could implement such content!

Thanks for raising, we're aware of this, just didn't manage to get the fix out this week - apologies!

Loving these so much

For future Leagues, I'm afraid ya'll will look at relics and say "that's too powerful, we need to nerf this"

But since this is a game mode that's primarily based around fun, I'd prefer if other options were buffed to a comparable level.

Yeah I am all for buffing and making em more useful over nerfing anything generally with relics

My guess:

Abyssal Accumulator: 30%

Endless Endurance: 50%

Dark Altar Devotion: 20%

Stick yours as comments! We'll reveal the breakdown in choices next Q&A stream when the data team have had chance to dive into it :)

The team did an absolutely stellar job! So many people pulled together to make this happen, and it has definitely paid off.

We really tried to make sure the core interfaces to Leagues we're slick, they're the backbone of the mode after all. They look and feel awesome, the process of unlocking a relic feels epic etc.

Thanks for the feedback everyone :D

memes are cool but will the other two relics get something extra? As useful as they are, infinite stina is a must have in a place with limited teleports

One thing we're going to be looking at is how many teach each relic, that's going to be fascinating!

We do want it to be a hard choice - and I currently feel like this first one still is to be honest.

A good majority of people were bashing league a week ago saying it's a waste of dev time. Idk what this sub thinks sometimes.

Honestly, it's hard to explain what Leagues is too - many have said themselves they didn't think much of the idea before hand, but after playing it they now get it.

Similar when we first pitched the idea to the team internally, many were skeptical til seeing the design really come together!

So happy with how its been received :)

This meme was brought to you by the endurance gang

The redesign is so good. Sonic 1 on the Mega drive was the first game I ever really played and I still love all of the 2d sonic games so much :).

Epic content mate

Good idea, will pass on to the team

What ever happened to the user designed content opportunities of the early days of OSRS? Rooftop agility and motherload mine are two of the best OSRS additions to the game.

As people have mentioned below we absolutely take player suggestions and a huge amount of player input onto what we do - but I think there is still a good charm to doing it in that full on player designed content format, would love to do it again if come up with right opportunity for it.

Just the sort of thing the game has long needed

This would introduce the first discontinued items to the game, unless one will be able to buy twisted league items with points from the next season.

At the bottom of the blog it says no discontinued items.

So thats good.

It would be from the next league yeah. If we were to ever stop doing future leagues, we would come up with something to stop them being discontinued.

By the way, if the community did want discontinued stuff, we could explore that with polls in future.

OSRSTone

Does this have to have rewards that carries over into the main game? I'd rather it didnt

They'll be talked about more in a future blog and polled.
