Achievements

  • Khaz Algar Lore Hunter has been temporarily removed. We will fix and restore this Achievement in a future patch.

Characters and NPCs

  • Adjusted the scaling of enemies in War Within leveling content to increase their health, bringing the duration of combat more in line with expected WoW behavior. This change is most noticeable at level 70, and has a reduced impact as your level increases. Enemies at level 80 and above are unchanged.
    • Developers’ notes: We’ve seen data and heard a great deal of feedback that players coming into Khaz Algar with endgame Dragonflight gear were extremely powerful relative to that initial content. It is entirely intended that effort put into gearing translates into a significant combat advantage at the start of a new expansion, but the values we’ve been seeing are extreme, often not even allowing time for normal combat rotations. We have been closely monitoring feedback and the experience with Alchemy in The War Within and are working on a series of adjustments to improve the overall experience that we intend to push live within the next day or so. The below list includes most of our planned adjustments, but any additional bug fixes or improvements will be noted in the hotfix logs once the changes have been finalized and pushed to live. Since some of these changes may impact immediate decision making, we wanted to inform the community as soon as possible.

  • Algari Potion Cauldrons and Algari Flask Cauldrons will no longer cost Artisan’s Acuity as part of their recipe.
  • Algari Potion Cauldron charges will be increased to 80 (up from 40) and the cost increased to compensate.
  • Meticulous Experimentation will have its cost and cooldown increased, however it will guarantee a new recipe when crafted.

We’ve recently deployed a hotfix to the Xal’atath’s Guile affix that addresses its damage not scaling with keystone levels. We will continue to monitor the impact of Xal’atath’s Guile on Beta testers running keys 12 and above and make adjustments if necessary.

For further context, this change was focused on making the 2–11 keystone experience better.

  • Each side of the Poacher’s cave tunnel between Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes now has an independent cooldown, allowing curious players a quick return option. Smoke asphyxiation still prevents more-frequent usage than twice an hour.
