Thankfully not Eldraine. Turn one, mill 36 cards, pass. Though omniscience draft does have a lot of turn one wins usually...
The mechanics of ELD also just don't suit themselves well to Omniscience Draft. You can't pay adamant costs, and you have to use the mana for the creature half of adventures after casting the spell half (which in some cases mean you couldn't cast them at all).
So I wouldn't expect an ELD Omniscience Draft any time soon. :)

Assuming the buy-in is a one-time just like the Brawl one, but do we know if WoTC confirmed that?
Correct, these events are one time entries where losses don't hurt you.

Philosophically, Direct Challenge is "kitchen table" Magic. We don't limit sets or have banned lists there, so you and your friend can play whatever you both want. (Exception: Tournament Match follows Traditional Standard.)
We had to add another option to support play with a commander in Direct Challenge, and decided to call that "Friendly Brawl".
Brawl events of course follow the normal format definition of Brawl and use Standard sets only.

The naming and sorting of game modes is a disaster!
Everything named "traditional" is bo3, everything else is randomly bo1 or bo3?
"Standard Event" is bo1.
"Standard Ranked" is bo1.
-> "Standard Metagame Challenge" is ... right, bo3!
"Standard Event" is the bo1 always active event mode.
"Traditional Standard" is the bo3 always active event mode.
But they are named after a different schema and sorted randomly in the list.
All game modes (except "play") are standard game modes, so why are some game modes tagged with "standard" and others not?
Everything in this list is confusing!
Appreciate your feedback on the game mode names.
Everything that is Standard is labeled Standard. Modes that are focused on Historic we plan to label Historic.
Traditional means means that it matches tabletop Magic, especially that it is Best of 3, while Best of 1 is the default.
Play and Bot Match say neither Standard nor Historic, since both kinds of decks are welcome. (These modes are also part of the NPE, where players are far more likely to not know format terminology names.)
We do sometimes take some liberties with specialty mode names. Standard Metagame Challenge for instance doesn't say Traditional because we want to help sell the theme of that event (The risk of elimination is high, but there are great rewards if you aren't!) and there is limited characters available to use in the event name.
Agree the sorting needs work, this is something we want to address.

You do not have to have played in the Play Any Deck event to join the Win Every Card event. Neither event requires you to have cards in your collection to play a deck.
Lands: (60)
12x Plains
12x Island
12x Swamp
12x Mountain
12x Forest
You're welcome.
Wow, crazy that we both arrived at the exact same list!
Older cards not in MTG Arena with high converted mana costs were added to the pool of cards that the Momir emblem can pull from. The abilities all work (though some aren't useful in a Momir context).
This was done in order to get a higher diversity of cards at higher converted mana costs to make the format more in the spirit it was intended. Impervious Greatwurm being the only 10 and Zacama, Primal Calamity being one of only three 9s was not the play pattern desired for this event.
Have fun! #WotCStaff

You have dared to dream the greatest possible dream, and have achieved it.
Well done.
So it's best of one?
Yes, this is a best of one event.
I wanted to post to clarify that this list is IN ADDITION to the regular best of one Standard banned list, consisting of Nexus of Fate and Rampaging Ferocidon.
Have fun in the event!

Appreciate the feedback. As always, we continue to look at both player feedback as well as data on the participation and impact of these events and use that information to inform our future designs.
There are a lot of different players who want different things. Some people enjoy a more de-powered environment that feels more casual like the Ravnica - Guild Battle event, while others want to do overpowered and broken things like in Omniscience draft. Some people don't like deckbuilding and feel locked out of an event if they don't have a deck that feeds into an emblem, while others enjoy a brewing challenge and are looking for that type of environment specifically.
We have to strike a balance and understand every event isn't for everyone. I would rather have a bunch of events where some people hated some and loved others but everyone found at least one they loved, rather than events that everyone felt "meh" about.
We also offer these event rewards later in part for this reason, so y...

Yep! Both are up!
It will be up tomorrow at 8am PT!
Before I clicked, I assumed this was going to be playing MTG Arena through cell phone tethering WiFi. :P
It's pre 2020, yes. These decks are from around Feb or March (when I first started)
Thanks! We'll take a look.
It's definitely still in place, and we continue to monitor its performance.
For clarity, are you using the original NPE decks (if you created your account before Core Set 2020 release on July 2) or the new ones (if created afterward that)?
In the Profile tab, there's a new button "Pet Select" in the lower right corner, next to the "Change Avatar" button.
You can turn it on and off there.
To clarify, this controls whether you display your pet. It doesn't control whether you see your opponent's pet.
