There are 3 additional hours available after signup ends to play games. A long window to finish games after signups have closed unfortunately would not be of much help, as without signups open there would be few people for you to play against.

They have a trend of starting new events at 8:00am Pacific (About 2 hours from the time of this post).

I think they forgot to set up a countdown timer for this one, but I'm sure it'll be up.

Not "forgot", it's just when there's a lot happening (FNM @ Home, Historic Shakeup, Omniscience Draft) we don't want preview timers to crowd the "billboards" (what we call the three panels on the right of the Home scene).

Preview mode will be used for some events and not others for these reasons. It really depends on what else is happening.

Ha, thanks for the game! I conceded because I was mana screwed, believe it or not my hand was nothing but copies of [[Light Up the Stage]] (and I wasn't gonna get damage in) and [[Anax, Hardened in the Forge]]!

Personally, I don't "play to quests", I just acquire them naturally, maybe I'll go an extra game or two to finish it off.

While the team occasionally has gotten gems as a thank you, I'm glad we have to play through the game the way everyone else does. Not having the normal play experience is a good way to lose touch.

The event details have been updated in the event link. The entry and structure are unchanged, as are the gold, pack, and ICR rewards. For sleeves, this time around each player who participates regardless of record will receive a Platinum Angel sleeve.

The primary reason is that when we are close to rotation (e.g. after M21), we don't want to be running draft formats that will soon be rotating out. In order to keep the cycling-format drafts have a variety of sets, we're more likely to run these formats now, when rotation is not soon.

Workshops are designed to be preconstructed deck experiences that break up your regular play with a game or two with decks that are new to you.

They do only reward the first win, but you can change among the provided decks and keep playing if you want (and earn quest progress and win rewards while doing so).

While this Workshop is Brawl-based, Workshops as series aren't about Brawl (nor will they be used to assess the popularity of constructed Brawl). They will offer a variety of play experiences, including things that may not line up to traditional Magic formats.

For clarity: The Wednesday Brawl schedule was changed so that it didn't overlap with the upcoming no entry preconstructed deck Workshop events, which begin next week. Wedneday Brawl was not reduced in length -- it's still 24 hours -- but it has shifted both the beginning and the ending 8 hours into the future relative to the previous schedule.

In addition to avoiding the conflict with the Workshop events, this schedule brings Wednesday Brawl in line with our normal event start and entry-lock times, which generally occur at 8am Pacific (1500 UTC or 1600 UTC, depending on daylight saving time).

"Aternative banned list", unlike "additional" or something similar, would suggest it's alternative regular ban list, thus that regular ban list does not apply. Wonder if it's true.
