I know there are blaze and shock out right now - when umbral arrives do the others go away? Does our lantern reset? Is there a FAQ somewhere with this sort of info?

Well, the main story goes like this:
"Within the uncharted regions of the Shattered Isles, Archaeologist Andrei Kaine has made a monumental discovery. A series of ancient floating cities said to hold long lost secrets of an ancient advanced civilization that existed thousands of years before the Upheaval. Mr. Kaine has come to Ramsgate in search of Slayers willing to face the new challenges within these ancient lands and uncover the secrets that lie within."
It's an idea I have for Dauntless' first real "expansion" update. Think of it as the Dauntless equivalent of Monster Hunter World's Iceborne expansion. I'm talking about new NPCs, new areas and gamemodes including an open world "expedition" mode and a new Escalation, a metric Shrike-ton of new weapon and equipment types including exotics, and a fully fleshed out "campaign" that ties it all together.
I mean, I understand that an update like this would probably be way down the line. Like, after we've gotten weapon 8, all the weapons reworks, an escalation for each element, and major hardware and software improvements.
That being said, I've already worked on the Escalation and the new islands, and now I'm currently working on new weapons.
