What issues are you seeing? Is it the app not opening (as it was over the weekend)?
I'll run through a few things here. RuneLite isn't bannable. In November's talk about clients we thanked RuneLite for their cooperation and for complying with the rules.
If your account was banned some time after you last played (you mention playing in September but being banned in December) then it sounds like you may have been hijacked. If that's the case, then head to the Account Bans support article, and scroll to the big yellow Appeal A Ban button. We do unban accounts which incurred offences whilst hijacked.
What I will say is that for each account, it doesn't look like there were active Authenticators at the time you stated you were playing.
So, head to the link above, and appeal the offences.
Read moreI can second that I've been unable to use the official client today as well. Getting an error telling me that a firewall is blocking my connection, which isn't true.
Interesting, thanks for the info. I'll past that on
Do you know how long mobile will be down? This is a lot of experience waste for me:(
I'm afraid not, but it's actively being worked on, and rest assured it's something we want fixed as soon as possible!
lol why are we sharing an article from JUNE?
obviously I'm kidding please don't crucify me
Nice
What am I supposed to do at work now!?!?!?
Did the workaround work for you?
I'd also like to apologise for the delay in getting this up too. We wanted to be aligned in terms of what each team is doing internally to get this resolved.
There’s also been issues loading the vanilla client on desktop. Any update on this?
It's entirely possible that the two are linked, I can't confirm that, but if so I'll ask for the PSA to be updated. Apologies.

I'd seen a few of those knocking around (and we had tried that instinctively earlier too!), though I must thank them for helping others.
can you provide a little clarity around the cause of these issues? is this a biproduct of changes made to protect against server crash/dupe attempts, or unrelated?
At the moment I'm not able to, but once we're confident it's resolved we'll be better placed to talk specifics.
There are a few notices as we enter the festive period!
- This week's Q&A livestream will be on Thursday 5th at 4pm GMT (not Wednesday 4th)
- Next week's game update will be on Wednesday 11th (not Thursday 12th)
Anywho, I'll be your host. What questions would you like me to ask (and - hopefully - answer)?
I hope they do, I'm going to struggle to squeeze into that. I've passed this on to our merchandising partner.
So - if there's another League, there won't be another Twisted League. Twisted is the name of the first League and refers to the fact that it's on Zeah (Xeric, Twisted bow, buckler etc).
There's no decision yet on date or frequency for more Leagues. We wanted to see if it would work. We're very happy with how Twisted has done, and I'm confident there will be more, but this isn't official confirmation (that doesn't exist yet).
Thanks pal!
Edit - from that link it seems I can only transfer a full membership package if I mistakenly purchased it for the wrong account, rather than transferring all the remaining days to another account. Is this the case?
We wouldn't encourage people to contact us saying "I bought a month, and have 4 days left, I'd like to transfer 4 days", but concessions are made when there's a huge amount of membership left (like the 3 months you mention).
Lol was there actually an “NDA” or is your “NDA” just blackmailing content creators with threats of bans if they were transparent enough to say anything.
No NDA has been signed, but they do sign NDAs when they do things like visit the office. Nobody has been threatened with a ban.
Hmm. Ok but if what you're saying about having nothing to gain is true why put company time and resources to sprcifically setting up and maintaining influencers? Thanks for your time.
What I meant was that we'd have nothing to gain if we forced content creators to feel like they had to stay on our good side, and act against their usual nature. We have plenty to gain from them remaining critically-minded and empowered to voice their actual opinion and expertise.
Yep! There's this article: https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360000981197-Transfer-Membership
Would it not create a conflict of interest in the sense that creators would feel pressured to please Jagex to maintain said access to prior info ahead of public knowledge which would in theory generate more views/ad revenue/subs/patreon?
I'd hope not! It'd be one for /u/JagexBolton to address, but we wouldn't gain anything from content creators feeling like they had to stay on our good side.
I can't really fault the way you guys handled it, it's understandable in most regards. I'm just questioning why Rendi has to post a video in order to trigger any talk about it, did you have any intention to put a statement out about this?
We've spoken about past exploits/bugs, similarly we've spoken about staff leaving and attacks to our login servers, so it wouldn't be unthinkable - but this point still stands - "It's standard to not discuss active investigations and actions being taken, at least until after we've taken steps to resolve the issues".
