we know its an ivern nerf. he sits around 53% winrate at high elo, so close to getting nerfed anyways, so we aren't going to do any compensation until after the dust settles
What about Evelynn? She's been hit really hard by the jungle changes and I honestly don't think these will be enough to let her hit 6 at a reasonable time again. Then again, I don't know the math off the top of my head for the new changes, but an efficient Eve clear on live hits at 8:10~ (used to be 6:00), and the meta favors early game junglers extra super hard. Any plans to at least revert her Q change from a few patches back?
shes sitting around 50% winrate almost exactly for most players, but bad for low elo. its possible she has room for a buff if we are looking to up low elo jungle diversity slightly.
Azir - R soldier count (width) 5-7 >>> 6-8
It's only a matter of time until Azir has enough soldiers to divide the entire map; you heard it here first.
yo i remember an inhouse where we hand shook grasp jinx vs ashe top, and only contributed to fights with our globals. that was peak league of legends
I remember it being mentioned that you can't roll same keystone in next 5 rolls or so but when I was working on this, I kept rolling the same keystone even twice in row very often so I thought it was just coded wrong and that it wouldn't be implemented in the game (at least I think this is what you mean).
Basically I just did the math based on 300 - 700 keystone rolls in row in practice tool to check the percentage values of rolled keystones and try to create a formula that would support that no matter how many keystones were available and prioritized at the time. But is it still safe to say that it is around 5% ~ higher when prioritized or not? Or is it more like 7% higher
probably closer to 7%
you shouldn't be able to roll the same keystone twice in a row, but i can definitely believe that there might be weird rolls - the scripting is uh, pretty jank tbh
So glad to hear, much love for riot <3
Oh sry, not to mislead. the smart logic section is not accurate to how that works, at least not literally. omnistone in general builds a table of all keystones it can grant, then rolls that table and removes the selected keystone. if the table has fewer than X entries, it refills the table.
Smart logic runs before rolling the table, and checks to see a variety of ideal situations in a specific order. if any ideal situation is found, it rolls a chance to grant the relevant keystone (chance* is higher if the keystone is not currently removed from the table). If that roll succeeds, it selects that keystone, removes it from the table, and stops searching subsequent situations. If nothing is found, it goes through and does the normal roll of the table
*Chance here is usually something like 15%||8%, but different situations can define how that is chosen (ie: glacial chance is significantly higher if you have a glacial item off CD)
Read moreHow inaccurate my math was? And the MS on predator doesn't scale I'm 100% positive :D
off the top of my head, it looks pretty accurate to me
for the most part, all scaling is relative to the damage per dark harvest soul (ie: you'll get less on ARAM where souls are worth 3 damage)
Huh. I thought I made it scale predator mspd. Thinking back I'm pretty sure I just misremembered though, since the starting point was any damaging keystone should also do one souls' worth of extra damage (5)
Making me wonder if something in pta is scripted wrong now

""Fortnite” has fewer players overall than Riot Games’ “League of Legends,” but “Fortnite” players on PC are more than twice as likely to spend on in-game content as “LOL” players, SuperData says."
Wtf, League players?! This is simply unacceptable! That Surfer Singed skin isn't going to buy itself, is it.
Time to step up and CONSUME.
if only alcoves flamed you if you didn't have a new skin, and surfer singed gained a surfing bonus from ocean terrain. THINK ROVIENT THINK, how did we miss these opportunities.
Someone's got to pay for my ramen habit.
Just recreate Pangolier in League as bait and you might catch yourself a wild singsing
maybe he should just get good and play fiora AND rammus at the same time
Singsing's vids playing LoL were fun. He's the one with the chipmunk knight and the doggy in the intro, right?
i need more singsing league streams
I'll leave the infamous Eternalenvy post here: https://www.liquiddota.com/forum/dota-2-general/454226-going-on-leave-from-university-to-play-dota-2 The Reddit comments in this thread don't seem to differ too much from the TL comments. :P
How to go pro starting from 0?
Practice every champion and mechanic that you're interested in in the practice tool (it's 1v0 mode, kinda like sv_cheats 1)
Learn core game concepts from Unsw Lolsoc YT channel https://www.youtube.com/user/unswlolsoc, it's the bible of learning league and for certain will set you on path to hit diamond/masters/challenger.
Make friends with LoL pros, semi-pros and high elo players. You need to know people who can lift you upwards, it's insanely important both for rapidly improving at the game as well as to look out for your future pro prospects.
Do 1v1 laning practice against pros and high elo players. This'll help bring over one of the key strengths you'd have as a 8k elo dota player - laning prowess. It's a much more rapid way to improve - shorter games means you can get more practice in, and your personal shortcomings will be far more obvious.
Long-term, your goal will be to reach a point where you operate your own actions effortlessly, and can have full focus on reading the gamestate and your opponents' next steps. (just like in chess, or dota)
Hitting a point where you consistently win 1v1 practice games with even or mirrored matchups against high elo/pro players would be a pretty big milestone to start with.
Best of luck, if you read the post and this sounds doable, then you have my full vote of confidence. Welcome to the community, and enjoy your journey. ^^
matt is this ur smurf, promoting ur channel :>
I think i saw on ff20 a new Elder Execution where the drakes droppes a bombo or sth on the target that should get Executed. Is this still in work or is this an old Information i have there ?
that was a wip in dev effect from months ago
Why did you guys make the execute effect into a projectile rather than making it so that if champion A has the Elder buff and apply damage to a enemy B then enemy B gets a debuff which kills him if they are below 10% hp?
thats exactly how it works, but with the added step of firing a projectile because that looks good.
This is a really tricky one. Part of me thinks this is really unfair for braum, since he's essentially sacrificing himself to save a teammate. But on the other hand that sacrifice could be game winning if he protected the ADC long enough for her to cleanup. I'm not talking about this clip, but in general. Tricky to know the correct path on this one.
Edit: got the answer on this: Braum should not intercept the execute attack.
think elder execute should probably not be a blockable projectile. it reads more like a laser beam and it doesn't have a meaningful cooldown, so it's pretty unlikely this is desired since I think even just the elder DoT will re-trigger it.
I shipped the braum urgot interaction because I felt that a significant amount of times it would be correct for braum to sacrifice himself to Urgot R since that spell DOES have a meaningful cooldown, but we decided against that shortly after ship.
Disclaimer, I haven't really played much on SR since... 2015? But I remember at some point it stopped being heard globally by enemies unless Vayne was in vision
Me sad
Aery being triggers is correct. Happy with that. It's that Aery damage applies the elder burn that's the issue. We're going to make it to that no "proc" damage or effects can apply elder burn anymore.
Small Nerf but important to keep it consistent.
Believe all I submitted for 10.1 was a special case excluding aery from triggering elder. Technically however aery triggering elder triggering aery is correct behavior though as aery and elder both state they trigger on "damage", and both deal damage. Other situations clarify damage types more strictly to avoid this (ie: believe liandries states "damaging spells")
We should talk about that when we get back
Oh man this makes me miss the old days of League where Vayne would put her first point into W on the spawn fountain at the start of the game, and the entire map would hear SILVER OF THE MOOOON!
it doesn't do that anymore???? im pretty upset now
But he is not invisible, it is just that the game renders him at a wrong location
One of the players I tested with had an idea for a definite fix - global reveal of Nunu right at the start of game, just for a brief moment and the bug can't be reproduced
You hear that August, I expect it fixed by Monday.
Why do you guys need to make everything out of minions?
For surprises for future scripters
