Is a new map really in the works?
We're not quite ready to talk about it yet, but we can confirm we are working on a new map and we look forward to revealing more in the future. Exciting times ahead for Conan Exiles.
So... Clicking in "learn more" or something like that, found the new map as DLC.... This will be the "new" way to release new content? What about those bugs that "are fixed internally and coming in following patches" are included in that dlc map? This is a big news and I (do not know about other people) really want info about this. Please if these news are good or bad do not make Conan Exiles the new Fallout 76 with that "game as a live service".
Conan Exiles bug fixes will always be free. We won't charge for bug fixes.
Yep, which means no criticism allowed if it's directed towards Winnie the Pooh and his mates in the Chinese government, they'll probably censor the game as well.
Tencent has also invested in Reddit. Your comment about the Chinese president seems to be OK.
I wish they'd reject Tencent but I know they won't. They'll accept the deal and we'll be fed the usual PR drivel of " Everything is fine, nothing will change, we promise more investment in your favorite games " then the subtleness will end and the game will go to shit, just like most gaming companies have done after takeovers, they'll also censor the game as heavily as they can get away with.
Tencent already owns 29% of the company and the acquisition is up to our shareholders, in the end. So far they've been hands-off and haven't done anything to change how we do things. That will continue.

So they are creating a game to compete with conan exiles? On top of that they are going to decrease resources for the game. Then wtf did I spend all this money for?
The Dune game was announced a while ago, and it's still a ways away. We'll continue to support Conan Exiles :)

We believe it's a good thing for us in the long run.
That's understandable. There is still some things that need fleshing out as it is with all games. But for what we have in Conan I'm enjoying very very much. I've bought almost every DLC and loving it! It would be awesome if y'all came out with a DLC that had circular corners for foundations and ceilings and walls. Would definitely add a ton of more design to player made structures. Maybe even a paint option for current DLC's. Make it like a sub-DLC kind of like the Conan pack that pays homage to Arnold.

We're pretty okay with the types of build pieces currently in the game, but we may end up adding more depending on what we feel is appropriate.
If we end up doing a painting option for DLCs (I assume you mean building pieces and weapons, since you can dye clothes), it's something we'll most likely release for free, since it would be a core game mechanic.

I've also spent some time using ghost mode to explore beyond the map border. Do you know what the deal is with the six white cubes in the ground in the area northeast of The Pocket? It looks like an abandoned project or something.
Y'know, I'm actually not sure what they are. The devs haven't told me, haha
They give you buffs when consumed and are a stronger buff than regular potions :)

That big white bat creature is not to be trifled with
Too bad we couldn't have an architect bench where we could load simple blue prints. Like have a grid plane within the bench. Then you add your squares and triangles and once you save your blueprint. You can place the blue print down on an area you're building at. But you still have to craft the building pieces. Instead of kicking with the repair hammer, you would swing and automatically add a building piece to the placed out floor plan.
It's not a bad idea, but right now our main focus is elsewhere.
