How will yoda's block work? I hope you keep his current one still, as i really like how it looks and works now.

also, i hope you make sure the jetpack changes don't make it less fun to use just for balancing. last game, it felt too slow and limited, and it's much better now.

Current block is staying but he'll also be able to use his lightsaber against other lightsabers to my knowledge.

960 is the built in cap. Tentatively, we're looking at lifting the cap for CS to prevent that (maybe removing it).

  • Reducing the range of Anakin's Pull Dominance
  • Currently looking at the range of Anakin's Retribution
  • Investigating passive Health on Kill for heroes

We agree. We're looking at changing this so that you can earn more due to just how long some CS matches can go. I do hope that credits will do fine.

/u/EA_Charlemagne, please, the next time someone reads the patch notes and criticizes DICE's minor changes, dont respond with an excuse of not wanting to overstep with balancing changes or about how the community isn't always right. The community has been pretty consistent regarding what changes need to come to Anakin. Now, you can see that DICE's changes were meaningless. So, this time, pass on the community feedback that Anakin needs a much more significant nerf, preferably to his health and lightsaber damage stats and to Passionate Strike. Try reducing his health to 900 max, lightsaber damage to 140 max, and try removing the knock down from Passionate Strike. Please pass on that suggestion. At this point, it's worth trying.

I said before, there’s only so much we can do and are willing to risk in a hotfix. There will still be further hero balancing passes. The comments you’re quoting are only part of what I said. There are people in the community who want us to leave Anakin as is, revert the nerf, pull him out of the game, etc. My comment to that was that “the community” doesn’t just have one opinion on this. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.

You're definitely right that we don't always know what we want. Anyone remember how some people were saying "era lock the heroes in GA"? When they tried it it didn't go so well

Ultimately, it's not the community's responsibility to know exactly what you want. It's on us as game developers so figure out what's best for everyone and trust in that choice (with some experimentation here and there).

What limitation is preventing Grievous from having a cape? Other heroes have them.

Multiple limbs clipping through it. That's why he doesn't fight with it during TCW or III.

I want to assure you that we're not holding anything back. If the maps were ready for March, we would have released the mode with them. Holding back content would only hurt us. As soon as something is done, we ship it in the following update. This also isn't everything that's going to be on the roadmap, which is in part why we don't use static assets anymore.

Haha, Disney/LFL doesn't fund the title. It's funded by EA. It's the opposite, actually. We pay them part of what we earn since it's their IP.

Thanks, Xbox is a system you cannot afford to lose!!! Do you have any possible workarounds in mind in the meantime? I've done everything short of reinstalling the game and like I said above, it's the only game that I can't play multiplayer on.

There are none. It has nothing to do with your end, just your region. It's 100% on us, so sorry about that.

Working on it. I don't believe it's specifically on our end base on what I've seen from our internal teams. A first pass at fixing it was deployed a half a day ago or so and it fixed it for some, but not everyone. Still working on fixing it permanently.

If Maul had unlimited stamina under the new system, he could attack endlessly and drain enemy heroes of their blocking and attacking abilities, leaving him significantly more powerful.

It's a terrible first pass that indicates that you didn't listen to the community.

The last thing we want to do it overstep and make Anakin super weak. It's smarter to do things in stages as we adjust overall balance. Also, "the community" is not always right. The community is tons of people with different opinions on the matter. We took feedback into account, but there's no way to account for what everyone wants. We have to base it on our best judgement. Apologies if we get it wrong from time to time, but the end goal is to make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.

I got in touch with a dice community manager and he was no help , all they said was were working on it. Customer service was no help , they said to try all this things that clearly dont work . I appreciate that you actually responded back so thanks .

No no no no no, DICE you can't slightly lower the values of Anakin's damage (literally by single digits) and call it balancing; Did you listen to anyone when they gave feedback on how to properly balance Anakin? At all?

I get that you want Anakin to be super powerful, but these "changes" are infuriating to read after having to suffer Anakin for the past month.

Increased Passionate Strike cooldown (12->13)

Like what in the actual hell were you guys thinking? "Yeah this'll really balance Anakin out" A single second added to his cooldown, yeah that's really balancing, great job guys.

This is the kind of stuff that makes people lose faith in the devs, because when problems that are ruining the game get "fixed", they never get talked about again and people turn off the game.

This is a hotfix. This is not the final time we're going to address hero balance. It's just a first pass.
