We will be force-opening any of your collected loot boxes on September 14th. This will give you several days to decide what remaining cosmetics you want to unlock with your Overwatch in-game currency before we launch Overwatch 2.
Yes, all seasonal event items as long as it can appear in any loot box from a seasonal event.
That tweet linked in the starting post is not entirely accurate. Only cosmetics that appeared in any given seasonal loot box will be unlockable with Overwatch in-game credits. Past play-to-earn cosmetics and other limited-time items are not included for this event.
Yes, they will still be a currency used to collect team skins and new exclusive skins after Overwatch 2 launches.
Correct. Any limited-time promotional skin such as those that were available with the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket or obtained during a limited-time promotion will not be available to be unlocked during this event.
They will have value even if you already unlocked everything you can get with them from the current game.
Past play-to-earn challenge skins are not included in this upcoming event.
This upcoming event will be the last to spend on any seasonal loot box item that can be unlocked with the current Overwatch in-game currency. We will be detailing how past seasonal content and other items are collected in Overwatch 2 in an upcoming news post this month.

Welcome to the final competitive season before Overwatch 2!
Season 36 of Competitive Play is here!
Unlocked at level 25, Competitive Play is designed for those players who want to put their skills to the test, and offers a more serious experience than our Quick Play or Arcade Modes.

Hello everyone,
The Overwatch esports broadcast team has been working to identify the issues from last weekend and moving towards a solution to deliver the missing tokens. At this time, we do not have an ETA on a fix. We’ll continue to update you on the situation as we can. We have noted that Contenders skins have started to be properly awarded as well. We will continue to monitor this situation closely.
Thank you for your patience and continued support of Overwatch League and Overwatch Contenders.
Not from me. Another member of the community has been keeping track of the Contenders schedule and keeping an eye on a few things regarding drops which you can check out here:

Greetings, everyone. I did confirm with the Overwatch League that they are looking into the issues and will catch up on the token drop rewards. It may take a few days but they will catch them up so keep watching.
I will look into any issues with the Contender skins when I get back in the office on Monday. Just remember there are many more broadcasts remaining on the B-Sides schedule to collect the necessary hours to collect those skins.
