This week, we sat down with Game Director Ion Hazzikostas to answer your questions on the latest content update— Tides of Vengeance part 2.

We will update as soon as we have them finalized but it may take a few days.

It should be the “Zandalar Forever” achievement.

Tides of Vengeance War Campaign achievement is the same. The story arc should be “A Nation United” achievement. Exalted with Proudmoore Admiralty.

There will be no raiding required. Some people may have seen the requirements on the PTR and we do plan to talk about them more to help spread the word.

As it currently stands, if you do the Zandalar quest arc (through the Blood Gate quest and Zul’s death), the War Campaign through the Tides of Vengeance achievement, and get Exalted with the Zandalari Empire, you will be able to do the questline to get access to the Zandalari Allied Race as soon as 8.1.5 goes live.

At BlizzCon we talked about these Allied Races coming in Patch 8.1.5. It might feel like a new patch day with the season update and raid opening up today, but this is still the continuation of the Tides of Vengeance story. We will have more information on the Zandalari and Kul Tiran soon!

I have received a lot of feedback on both sides regarding pinning. A lot of people don’t seem to see them there and I definitely notice responses come in faster when it’s not pinned. That said, it is pinned now and will be there for a few days to avoid it dropping down low.

With Battle for Azeroth Season 2 fast approaching, we wanted to give those looking to push for titles at the end of Season 1 an idea of what to aim for.

What follows are the current rating cutoffs as of this post, for the respective titles. These are not the final cutoffs, which will change slightly based on continued play through the end of the season as well as any disqualifications that occur after the season ends, but can be used as a general estimate for what ratings are needed in order to qualify.

• Dread Gladiator – Horde: 2962
• Dread Gladiator – Alliance: 2859
• Hero of the Horde: 2652
• Hero of the Alliance: 2563

Again, these are not the final cutoffs, which we won’t be able to determine until after the season officially ends.

The auto-lock is only meant as a stop-gap measure for negative discussions while our moderation team reviews the situation. What difficulty do you usually run?

These hotfixes are already done and I wanted to make sure people were aware of changes that have happened as we have seen complaints about not being notified when things occur.

We are still going over things so more changes could happen. One thing to note is that we saw the feedback about the rewards but we have seen a number of people continue to run Island Expeditions on normal difficulty, which means fewer rewards than heroic or mythic, so we have to sort through things to...

I just wanted to draw attention to the latest hotfixes update:

• Developers’ notes: Following up on recent community feedback that we requested, a number of quality-of-life concerns led us to changes that we intend to address many frustrating combat experiences with certain Island ecologies.
• Azerite-themed enemies
  • Enemies now prefer not to use Resonant Burst, Resonant Shield, and Volatile Geyser when a nearby enemy has recently used the ability.
  • Reduced the number of Resonant Focus orbs created per cast of Resonant Burst to 2 orbs (was 4).
  • Removed the Knockback component of Resonant Backlash (triggered from Resonant Shield) on Normal and Heroic difficulties.
  • Reduced the Knockback magnitude of Resonant Focus orbs on Normal and Heroic difficulties.

There were a number of changes to Island Expeditions in the Tides of Vengeance content update. Now that they have been live for several weeks, we wanted to take a moment and get your thoughts on them. It can be about anything you have experienced but here are some questions to open things up: How have the changes felt? Have things improved? Has anything gotten worse? What rewards have you been getting?

Depends a bit on what is considered popular, we have provided some updates on Azerite, Mythic+, and a few other things that were very heated.

For your question, I will look into it, but often what it comes down to is if someone really likes the color red, it is hard to convince them that blue is better.
