Just wanting to emphasize this, but remember that different people have different goals and different preferences on what is fun.

You could take your time, max out all your professions, and explore the world as you like.

You could be itching for a 40 player raid group and want to be there when they are first forming.

You could be someone who wants to hit max level as fast as possible, get some sweet daggers, then welcome people to places like the Barrens or Stranglethorn Vale…

I don’t think that aligns with the OP’s thoughts though. You are saying you need to do everything to tread water but the OP was saying by doing everything, even casually, things are being outgeared. That isn’t treading water which I would equate to falling behind.

If you are doing casual content like WQs and Raid Finder, what are you trying to get that you aren’t getting? If you just do these two things for 3 months, what are your expectations on what gear you should have?

They are coming with the next/8.1.5 content update but we haven’t released a date for this yet. We are getting there though!

It is indeed meant for back luck protection. Random drops have always been a part of the game, like never seeing Druid gear drop in old raids for months, but this system should allow a light at the end of the tunnel to fill in what you haven’t gotten by then.

The defeat of King Rastakhan at the hands of the Alliance sets the stage for retaliation by the Horde. In this final chapter of the Battle of Dazar’alor, Alliance players will play through the events from the perspective of the Horde.

And I totally understand the different interests and play styles that people have. This is a big game with lots to do and I like when people do what they want to do.

Major props though to the person who maxes fishing before I hit level 10.

I understand that certain people are very focused on perfectly itemized gear. I have done that in the past as well but it isn’t what I personally worry about these days. If I get something equivalent then I’m happy and can move on to continue ...

I will probably do everything but fishing as I level. When I have the pile of raptor meat/flesh and I know I can use it for cooking, I hate staring at it in my bags!

I’m a little less caring on alts but my main needs the profs to be maxed.

Just be careful when you sound like you are speaking for others. Personally, I’m more focused on getting my average item level up. Sometimes a good WF/TF makes it so I don’t need to worry about a single slot for a while but it doesn’t happen much. I mainly have been trying to use titanforges to fill in some slots that I feel unlucky in (hi trinkets!) and that has resulted in such success that I have zero titanforges on my main spec atm, heh.
