I'm late here, but thank you so much everyone - for everything.

RT @No_Tables: Commission done for @TysonTallas, featuring colonist Kate and her Archotech Centipede from the Genetic Rim mod! The lineart…

Looks amazing - but isn't that locust armor? Or is it just recon armor with a jump pack?

@direGoldfish You know, you're totally correct. They are gone.
@direGoldfish I don't think anything has ever disappeared really. It's just that other things grow up alongside it and overshadow it. Happened with text adventures, flight sims, classic FPS and RTS games.
@mflux Kowloon Walled City

This is a really impressive vision of this kind of moment. I can feel the anticipation.

I like when people take the block-world of the game and do a bit more interpretation on it to project into something that feels more real. The game is in blocks for technical, gameplay and interface reasons - the stories don't have to be!

@DUSKdev God, I'm sorry I missed this tweet!
Yeah Rimworld is awesome
So is DUSK! https://twitter.com/DUSKdev/status/1370612562790920193
@DUSKdev Excellent, excellent....
@DUSKdev Others have answered, I just want to say I'm stoked to see you're interested in my game. I absolutely loved DUSK.

There are some steps you can try here:

Heya! I'm a French lawyer (=/= attorney) turned university teacher who specialize in intellectual property and GDPR. (and fabulously broken English)

If you want some info, do not hesitate to ask.

Cheers.

Edit : some stuff anyway.

French TV uses the SACEM, it's essentially a bunch of resources (including music) that the channel subscribed to in exchange for... well, using said resources. SACEM is then meant to compensate the partners for their work.

Most channels assume that every artist is on board with SACEM, or an equivalent and just... roll with it.

Obviously if the soundtrack was never registered in such a program...

You've got a pretty clear case of copyright infringement.

I think I'm going to use this in my IP class, do you mind if I use the litigious video containing the soundtrack ? (educational purpose only ofc, okay maybe I want an excuse to run Rimworld at work.)

Thanks for the info!

The RimWorld OST isn't registered in SACEM or anything else like that.

Yeah, you're welcome to use the reddit video.

French law allow to play short samples of music or video without authorization, it is fair use. There are conditions and this show probably shouldn't have used your music, but then its you who would have to prove that this wasn't fair use. TVs abuse this law all the time. As far as I know most copyright owner don't think it is worth the hassle to fight it.

This is useful, thank you very much for the contextual information.

@DominicJPino @JaedynRuli @senatorshoshana Worth noting that the English isn't that far off, since the word bulb originally referred to a rounded part of a plant root. Like a radish, for example. So the english is "glow rounded root" in some sense.

TF1, today, the evening news at 8pm.

Here's a video of the program, the bit seen in OP's post starts at about 34:25

https://www.lci.fr/replay-tf1/video-le-20-heures-du-9-fevrier-2021-2177938.html

EDIT: there's a second bit at 36:51

Thanks!

Intense! Love the emotion.

Such a noble puppers.

Damn, that's some hardcore copyright infringement.

Can you tell me anything about it specific? Date, time, which channel, which program?

Thanks either way.

I used my only healer mech serum on my newly recruited melee guy to heal his torso scar, but the game somehow considered the +15% movement speed from his monosword to be more important to "heal".

I generally don't like to do this, but I felt perfectly justified to use dev mode to heal the scar afterwards, now I know that you should unequip them first, and so do you.

Getting the +15% movement speed back was simple, I just had him unequip then reequip the weapon.

It's a bug. Sorry about that - we'll fix it.
