Like, is that boss still on the radar? Not necessarily a release candidate for the production team, but more like, still on someone else's PC folders.

not a rumour - dev work for it has been done, but no release date for it right now
If the work has been done, what is stopping it from being released? Genuine question, not trying to be snarky. I just have no idea how the decisions are made on what gets released or not.
so once the work has been done by dev, it's up to production to decide when best it should go out - for example, they'd consider if there's space for release QA to take it on a given week, if it would fit well with any specific upcoming updates, etc.
Hey wanted you to know Luma you did a nice job with this quest. It has a very nice classic quest pulse.
Go around the world talking to obscure characters or items you’d never normally deal with or necessarily know about (king worm I forgot was even a thing), cute writing, the cleaning objectives were not marked in such a way that it felt like too much handholding, and injected just a nice bit of life and story into an area that didn’t really have much. Very classic RS feeling.
It also just makes the Owls of Um in general a bit more interesting and I think helps make Omen as the necromancy skilling pet feel better. It’s just the little touches of lore like this that make things feel more grounded and connected in the world.
The reward feels quite nice to, a powerful rare gem but only one so you kind of get to pick and choose your reward then if you want you have to go grind out the others. It’s a nice balance of effort vs return because the gem is desirable but for only 1 you aren’t asking too much.
Oh and post quests owls are very cute, was neat to see that you programmed the owls to try to omen. A little sad Omen is so rude that they just stiff their friends.

Now, I'd be curious to know if Weekly Reset Tokens work on this case, and if they do, that means the grind is cut from 7 Weeks to 4?
Which again, doesn't seem too long, but would add a sink for those weekly tokens people have amassed on their banks for so long.

It's possible that the intent was to make it a 2-3 range but something went wrong with the change and it's stuck on a flat 2.
She might be too busy with other things, but perhaps /u/JagexLuma could take another look to see if T3 troves are meant to only give a fixed 2 manuscripts?
hello, 2-3 is indeed the intent - i've had a look in the script and there's a bug going on there (it's rolling a 2 + random(1), but the random is non inclusive, so it's always giving 2 + 0)

It’s beautiful, does this mean the VFX for the weapons will get working soon too? Without them the T80 and T90 upgrades look kind identical.
the art team are still working on the VFX for weapons (and some other things like rasial & ability attacks) but no ETA right now

hey! this is a known bug - haven't got any repro for it currently though. was there anything specific you were doing before it happened? (another person who got this said they were replacing glyphs)

The Jmod who originally patched this bug is probably scratching their head wondering how you managed to pull it off again.
Also having to surge off on that last tick is why 700% is more popular than 610% despite being ever so slightly worse exp (assuming you never miss events from not getting surging that last tick properly...). Honestly do yourself a favor and just use another Attraction in your cape. The xp is practically the same but you save yourself a lot of sanity.
the patch just prevented the spots from being reverted to completely locked (instead reverting to remove-able dust mounds), but a proper fix preventing it from happening is going out on monday :)

If I had to guess it's a health bar of an invisible npc that's being manipulated while you stand at the platform, I think that's called a controller. It's probably floating above the pedestal. Again, just guessing.
this is actually how it was done during prototyping, as the boss healthbar system was built only for npc health - during dev i converted the system over to be general use, so rituals just uses variables rather than an invisible npc
