Thank you for reporting this Exan, did this start with the latest patch?

We are seeing an increase in these errors due to the increased demand on ISPs and Steam. It may well resolve on its own. Have you tried logging in today?

There was some network disruption yesterday, likely due to current events increasing the demand on ISPs and Steam. This should have resolved on it’s own - see if it’s still occurring today.

Current world events have increased the demand on ISPs and Steam, resulting in some network disruption yesterday. Try logging in now, as this should’ve resolved on it’s own.

Could you launch via the Steam client, and then send me the crash report or associated console log please?

Hi! Which Anti-Virus are you using?

Forum Streamline Icon: https://streamlinehq.com

It looks like you’re attempting to launch Vermintide 2 via the executable, as opposed to via the Steam client. Is that right?

Hi Sonic, could you please upload your most recent console logs, to help me look in to this?

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs

Phew, pleased to hear that! Nice work!

Sounds like an input issue - start by restarting Steam and Vermintide 2, and verify your installation if unsuccessful:

  1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify the Integrity of Game Files’ button. This may take several minutes

If the issue persists, look in to what other programs are running on your PC - SteelSeries Engine, for example, is notorious for producing input issues.

I suppose the connection is breaking before it can even create a profile in our backend!

Are you using a VPN, Proxy or anything else that could be interfering with your connection?

Additionally, have you recently made any changes to your computer’s hosts? (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc)

I can’t rule out a potential leak - that’s down to our Engine Developers to identify, but it would be unrelated to the logging you’ve seen.

We hope to patch this tomorrow. Thank you for your report.

Unfortunately, your PC does not meet the minimum requirements for Vermintide 2, which resulting in the crashes you’re experiencing. The minimum requirements for Vermintide 2 are:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) or 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.80 GHz / AMD FX-4350 @ 4.2 GHz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 65 GB available space

In this situation we can only recommend that you submit a refund request via the Steam client. Apologies for any disappointment caused.

The information as mentioned above would be helpful!

Additionally, has this always been an issue, or has it began recently?
