Have you tried reinstalling the game and clearing Origin's cache yet? Strange it's still showing up as Season 1 for you. It's possible there are corrupted files in your game folder when the update was downloaded.

What happens if I buy my Battle Pass late in the season?

You’ll receive all of the rewards up to your Battle Pass level (which is your current level for the season) retroactively! For example, if you’re on level 20 for the season when you buy the Battle Pass, you’ll unlock all rewards for every level up to 20, plus three special Battle Pass skins.

If you buy the Battle Pass Bundle, you’ll get the rewards for 25 levels in addition to the levels you’ve already reached. So, if you’re on level 20 for the season when you buy the Battle Pass Bundle, you’ll get all the rewards through level 45 and the three special Battle Pass skins.

Try exiting Origin and then right-click on it to run as administrator. It could be firewall or permissions related. We have a solution here from our Origin Support Guide.

Are you able to update to the latest version of Windows 10 and try restarting the PC? It looks like you're on a build that's 2 builds lower than the latest.

Do you have Origin In-Game disabled in your In-Game settings? See if disabling gets you in. Sounds like a program running in the background that could be causing it. Try a clean boot and then immediately run Origin as administrator. /Blueberry

Before we dive into troubleshooting, have you tried the steps from the Community Crashing Troubleshooting Guide yet?

For FPS drops we've seen success by lowering the Texture Streaming Budge in-game from the Video Settings tab. 

There are some others that found solutions preventing FPS drops below.

We are not aware of any plans to extend the Battle Pass for Season 1, I'm sorry to hear you and others recently posting did not get the final XP needed for a reward you had your sights on. 

The Battle Pass menu had a timer on it counting down to when Season 1 ended. Do you think there should be more in game pop ups leading up towards the end of the season to let you know how much time is left as a reminder? /Blueberry

We've seen others with the same feedback since the Season ended and we'll make sure the team is aware of how you all feel on the Season ending 2 weeks prior to the next one, however we're not aware of any plans right now of an extension or any changes to the Season 1 deadline. /Blueberry

I'm afraid to say the system you have is under the minimum system requirements. We recommend aiming for a PC closer to the recommended specs for the most desirable experience with Apex Legends.

Did you reinstall Origin too? As simple as that is, we've seen it help improve performance in games.

Download the latest version here

If there's a program potentially causing it to feel heavy, try a clean boot and then immediately launch the game to see if it plays better.

Let me know if these steps help below.

  • Adjust/lower/disable Ambient Occlusion in NVIDIA control panel (Manage 3D Settings)
  • Adjust or disable all forms of Vsync for your monitor
  • Increase your GPU and Windows power setting to Max. Open up "NVIDIA Control Panel" -> from the NVIDIA Control Panel, select the "Manage3D settings" from the left column -> click on the Power management mode drop down box and select "Prefer Maximum Performance".

Lower or disable the following in game:

  • Texture Streaming Budget
  • Texture filtering
  • Ambient Occlusion Quality
  • Volumetric Lighting

If you haven't restarted the PC or attempted a reinstall of the game that's worth a try. ( I know it sounds super basic, but it helps and is often overlooked)
