Thank you for sharing what helped you out. We'll relay this over to the Origin team to let them know about a potential impact the number of friends may have, but at the moment we do not see any direct correlation.

Before we dive into troubleshooting, have you tried the steps from the Community Crashing Troubleshooting Guide yet?

For FPS drops we've seen success by lowering the Texture Streaming Budge in-game from the Video Settings tab. 

There are some others that found solutions preventing FPS drops below.

Does the purchase for the 1000 coins show up as completed under your PlayStation account's transaction history? If it's there, does it show up in your country's currency? Some players will accidentally make purchases while on VPN which can cause content issues due to region locks through the Sony store. If that's the case, please contact PlayStation Support so they can look into the purchases made on your PlayStation account.

In your first response you were on Windows 10 build 1903 and now in the DxDiag you're on the latest version, so maybe there were some updates that were in the process of being installed that eventually finished.

Which platform do you and your buddy play on and has he tried any sort of connection troubleshooting with us or with our Support team? The Apex Legends team is working to improve server quality and investigating the code:leaf/net errors in which they're requesting info from the community here. If you or your buddy are getting that error we would appreciate any specific details in that post to help aide the team in addressing it.

We have connection troubleshooting steps that could make the experience better for you in the meantime though if you're willing to give some of them a shot. Let us know if you're interested!
