Hey Bex, if you lurk here still (as much of a mistake as I think that is nowadays), any chance we could get little mini-teasers like in the past before the actual announcement? I miss the days when you guys did that over just dumping everything in one announcement.

Teasers? In this economy?? Just kidding, hell yeah there's a chance.

We have a written summary of the important interview topics coming out soon, hopefully early next week. The main purpose of creating the summary is so that it could be translated to our other language communities. Our apologies for the delay with this one, it took quite a bit of time to get it together while also managing competing priorities. Our main Russian-speaking team member is currently away which is why you are maybe seeing less Russian-specific interaction from us. I'll get another team member to have a look at the feedback in the meantime and see how we can help.

Good job Tarke, the only thing i wish you guys would of asked is if they have thought about coming up with a non reddit way to interact with the community so i don't have to come to this shit hole anymore.

Good luck with the health issues my dude!

Choosing a series of podcasts/live discussions is us experimenting with alternate ways of communicating. We have a few things in mind. Open to feedback and suggestions about this!

Gameplay on the last POE 2 trailer was unbearably slow. I think a lot of folks assumed—much like new skill showcases which are clearly not linked to support gems—the super slow gameplay on the trailers was to show off new features. Once realizing that no, that is actually the speed they want the game at, it put POE 2 in a whole new light. Taking 10 seconds to clear a white pack does not look fun.

It's worth noting that we've only showed the first two acts for Path of Exile 2 so far. Like in current Path of Exile, the speed will scale up as players get through the campaign. We also have a fair amount of time to iterate on the balance of both games before then to find the sweet spot.
Edit: Accidentally a word

She had the baby a while ago and came back to do some teasers, but Reddit's toxicity caused GGG to rethink that policy.

I understand people mean well when they say this but I would really appreciate it if we could stop presenting this idea that it has anything to do with me being a parent. We don't speculate about Dads' commitments to their jobs. To clarify, if anything, having a family to feed means that I take this more seriously than I ever have.

This is not the case. When monsters stop providing experience and items, they also stop giving Delirium progress. This applies to monsters that spawn from Delirium fog as well. People who have done this and seen some reward progression are just seeing the expected amount from doing an Ultimatum encounter.

Last time I checked, most games don't allow multi-accounting. So they would ban you again, if they find out you're the person that got banned (similar to banned streamers on twitch).

But not GGG. They are perfectly fine with you playing? Heck, create a new account right now!

What if he didn't have any MTX? (unlikely, but still) He'd have almost no punishment at all!

My point is: It's inconsistent. I'm not arguing wether it's justified or not.

It's a pretty futile endeavor to attempt to keep people completely locked out of a free to play game.

It's also exceptionally difficult for someone to know why exactly they were banned.

"Exploits" isn't much to go on, for instance.

Personally I'm not a fan of ban posts since they're generally more private matters and the stories will overwhelmingly be one-sided, but it's understandable that [a banned user] would not have a factually correct account of the reason for being banned when they [are not provided full details by GGG].

It is understandable why a lack of detail is provided in the note for a multitude of reasons, but this will be a consequence of that direction.

*Edited for clarity

I assure you that the people involved in this have no ambiguity about what they were doing despite how it was presented in the OP.

Oh there is more to this.. thank you ggg for the response, to the top!

To be honest, it's exceptionally rare to see someone represent their personal account ban in a way that's completely factually correct. I wish people would stop taking posts like this at face value.

Hi Bex. I'd be happy to publicise my account stats, because this is either bugged or i'm terribly unlucky. My account name is Pyromancer4.

  • My Atlas Exploration challenge shows a grand total of 509 maps completed
  • I am doing ultimatums in every single map i run, since the mechanic is fun and profitable. I also fully complete all waves in my ultimatums since i'm very petty and don't like the trialmaster talking shit about me. I also do not skip stone circles.
  • My build rarely fails ultimatums because ice nova aoe overlap is very strong to clear dense packs. And most of my failed ultimatums were before red maps, where my build wasn't reaching it's full potential. But to give you guys the benefit of the doubt, lets say I failed 10% of every ultimatums i encountered.
  • I used the popular "leapfrog" method to reach red maps as quickly as possible. Which means that getting my first 16 watchstones at 3 maps per conqueror cycles took me 48 maps. I'm happy to remove those from the total.
  • I did actually encounter the trialmaster once. It was one of my first ever red map, from zana actually. I was still running a 5 link and my build wasn't at it's full potential, so I lost.

So my total T11+ maps completed would be (509*0,9)-48, which equals to roughly ~410 maps. Note that the odds are heavily stacked in your favor, since i am not counting any zana map or any conqueror map in this calculation, and i'm assuming every map is T11, but in reality most of them are probably T14+ since i rushed to endgame. Even assuming the ~100 maps average and removing 100 maps for my first trialmaster spawn, i'm still 3 times above the worst-case average, or 6 times above the best-case average.

If anyone can point me to any error in my assumptions or my math, i'd be happy to correct the post. Thanks for reading.

EDIT: Added a line specifying i do not skip stones circles, since people might ask me this.

We had a look at your account and you ran 381 Tier 14+ maps. You had one Trialmaster spawn but you died before reaching that wave. We checked the amount of Trialmaster's spawning on all of Ultimatum compared to the number of maps run. There were 15,000 Trialmasters spawned yesterday from the 720,000 Tier 16 maps run. We've manually scanned many accounts including running a simulation on your account to insure that it can spawn the Trialmaster. We're confident that the spawn rate isn't bugged. Feedback around whether the spawn rate is generous enough has been received and shared with the team.

At least for me, I think a lot of people on this subreddit are just incredibly confused about all of the exploiting and banning (or lack thereof) going on this league. We don't really have any general consensus of what's right a wrong, or what's bannable and not, to go off of so it's hard not to take posts like these at face value. This is such an incredibly tricky and nuanced topic for a lot of players and I assume the same is true for you guys at GGG.

It's a completely reasonable discussion for the community to be having. I understand the discomfort that sort of uncertainty creates. I'm more referring to being like, "Yep, that post has all the facts" without a little more skepticism about the details being presented. We literally just had a lesson in this.
