DirectX 12 Crashes
Earlier this week we posted a PSA about DirectX 12 causing crashes with Warframe while using an AMD graphics card. The team is still investigating a stable fix for this issue, but for the time being, we are temporarily disabling DirectX 12 for AMD Graphics Cards with RDNA2 architecture or lower. This is done to ensure affected users can have a stable Warframe experience over the holidays until we can find a permanent solution. 

Operation: Gargoyle’s Cry Changes and Fixes:

• You can now access the Operation Store via Vigile Jahu Gargoyles in other players’ clans! 
  • Note: You cannot contribute to their Curse progress, but you’ll be able to purchase wares with Grotesque Splinters. 
• Increased reward sorting importance for Curses and Grotesque Splinters so they now appear near the top of the list in the Mission Progress screen.

Happy Monday, Tenno! Today’s Hotfix, alongside some great fixes and changes listed below, contains some prep for Operation: Gargoyle’s Cry, going live today at 2 PM ET.  LIVE NOW! Additions: 

• A teleport portal will now appear after selecting a Bounty in the Sanctum Anatomica that will take you directly to the mission start waypoint (similarly to the Zariman Bounties). 

Heart Of Deimos Quest Changes: 
Seeing as Heart of Deimos is a requirement to unlock the Whispers in the Walls Quest, the following changes have been made to make it more newer player-friendly.

Hello Tenno!

Quick PSA to broadcast that the team is actively investigating a crash related to running Warframe on DirectX 12 on an AMD Graphics Card.

From what we can tell, this impacts RDNA 2 and older GPUs; Radeon RX 7000 series do not seem to be effected.

If you have experienced this crash, the current workaround is to switch back to DirectX 11 in the launcher for now.

We will update this thread once we have found a solution and what the next steps are.

Whispers in the Walls: Hotfix 35.0.2

Changes: 

• Reduced the Cavia Rank required to acquire the Helminth Coalescent Fusion Segment from 4 to 2.
  • This relates to Loid sending you an Inbox message upon reaching Rank 2 that the Segment is now available.  
• Temporarily replaced the “Kill X Dargyn Pilots before they hit the ground” Riven challenge with “Kill X Enemies with Headshots”. 
  • There is a bug that prevents this challenge from gaining progress (as reported here), so we have replaced it while we continue to investigate. 
• Added motion blur to Ayatan Sculptures, a particularly depressed character, and the Necramite drone in the Sanctum Anatomica. 
• Added the Netracell rewards to the public Drop Tables.

Changes: 

• Hotdropped (already live!): We have added a bonus built Orokin Reactor to the Sanctum Supporter Pack! Install it onto your new Vaska Kavat from the Pack or save it for something else!

  • We will be running a script to give the Orokin Catalyst to those who have already purchased the pack.

An update on the status of "Recoverable" Permanent Acts: 

EDIT 12/1/2023: The team is still tinkering and testing the change to make Permanent Acts "Recoverable," however, it will not be ready for the next rotation, as we're finding the change may require a Hotfix/Update. When the change does come, all previous weeks will be Recoverable and not lost to the Void, allowing you to make up the Standing while we were tinkering. We appreciate your patience while we sort through this!

We have patched this issue live and are working on a script to provide the missing Standing to those affected.

No, sorry. Having the Plague Star Bounties in the tent was breaking the flow/game in numerous ways, so we ultimately decided to have the Bounties available only at Konzu. We'll see what can be done for its next appearance.

• Updated the Eidolon Phylaxis and Infested Catalyst descriptions to inform players on where they can be acquired when Chatlinked. 
  • Eidolon Phylaxis: Nakak's Operational Supply in Cetus
  • Infested Catalyst: Bio Lab in Clan Dojo
• Fixed Infested not spawning in Stage 4 of Plague Star Bounties following a host migration. 
• Fixed cases of slow Infested spawns around the Boil in Stage 4 of Plague Star due to enemies elsewhere on the Plains contributing to the spawn cap. 
• Improved Drone pathing during Stage 3 of Plague Star, hopefully reducing cases of the Drone becoming stuck.

We have rebalanced the Plague Star Standing earned per stage for all three modes to address players starting and aborting Stage 1 after completing it. It's clear that the event is not meant to be played this way, and it also has a knockoff effect on those who public matchmake and end up in a squad with someone doing that strategy. Fundamentally, it comes down to this strategy being unhealthy for the game, and we feel must be timely addressed. We also recognize that each Stage differs in its "time cost" and have changed the values respectively.

The new Standing per stage is as follows:

Plague Star - Standard
Stage 1 - 50
Stage 2 - 300
Stage 3 - 100
Stage 4 - 575
Total Operational Supply Standing: 1,025 (was 1,000) 

Plague Star - Advanced
Stage 1 - 200
Stage 2 - 1000
Stage 3 - 300
Stage 4 - 1700
Total Operational Supply Standing: 3,200 (was 3,050)

2/6 last phase bugged at 0% Mobs never come out of the pods. This was Steel Path. We had the host leave to force migrate and even that didn't help or it bugged again.

  We changed how the items are used. You now only need them in your Inventory instead of manually equipping in your Gear wheel:

We've got a repro and are working towards a fix for scenarios where Infested don't spawn as intended.

Is this a bug, or are they auto-find for the event?

As long as you have them in your Inventory, you're good to go. You no longer need to manually put into your Gear wheel.
